Tiny Town a funtastic place for UFO group members to live.

Tiny Town  is our safe haven when life gets crazy. We are all healthy and happy here, because we know our neighbours and friends living here are quilters too. To buy a small house in Tiny Town, you must perform one random act of kindness , and to buy a larger home ( 2 chimnies), you'll be performing 2 random acts of kindness. All houses have large sewing rooms, and have been built to last.Large homes have storage for more stash, but smaller homes have bigger yards.  Here you can have housemates from your past, alive or otherwise, your present spouce ( only if you wish, lol) as well as pets from past or present. I know you will be responsible pet owers and thoughtfull neighbours, because this is just that kind of place.  Only houses on the back are for sale.

What time do we eat, Liz?! I make a cheese/rice/broccoli casserole with chicken frequently....love it!

Comment by Elizabeth Phillips on March 16, 2021 at 11:38am

For dinner, I'm going to make a cheese and rice casserole with broccoli in it - so there's my green!   I also will have a green salad!  And in the morning I'll eat my cereal with a mixed fruit salad with green grapes.  How is that Linda?

Hey, I'm all for desserts!!!! I'm not a fan of corn beef and cabbage either. Grandpa Fales had it every week....YUCK!!!! He was the gentlest man however and I loved my bedtime stories. I can still remember him reading me "Donald Duck Goes Around the World"....one of my favorite childhood memories. So happy that is one of the memories I didn't lose in the accident. OK, I'm getting off track here.

We can do all desserts. I'm making Irish soda bread and Irish scones. And I have a recipe for Shamrock shakes. What are y'all bringing?

Thanks for straightening me out on the time in the central time zone, Barbara. I do an online chat with another quilt group (the group with kennel quilts...Quilt Pattern Magazine) when I remember to get the time difference right!! LOL When I lived in Ohio I had no problem with time zones, but since moving to Arizona I can't keep them straight especially since we don't do time changes.

No problem, Liz. My friends here love hearing about our Tiny Town parties! Teresa enjoyed the Tea Party so much and told everyone about it. Our Bible study leader, Karen took me grocery shopping last week. She asked if there were any Tiny Town parties coming up! So I told her about our upcoming St. Patty Day party. If it weren't for covid, they would like to join in the fun. Maybe once covid is over (if it ever will be over), we need to have a huge celebration!!!

By the way, our pet bakery is doing quite well. I've added a lot of pet accessories and toys that are doing nicely too. Little Danni (an adorable Havipoo and a little spitfire) is my model. Danni is modeling matching harness and leash. I've recently added matching collars. Toys are made from parachute cord or old t-shirts or fleece.

I was looking at entré recipes for St Patty's Day... not a fan of lamb, fish, or cabbage. Corned beef from a can l can handle ( on a sandwich). So l guess l'll just skip to dessert < grin> . I'll have plenty of time to work it off as hubby and l lug furniture out of rooms to make room for the big flooring job ahead.

I have to remember the St. Patrick's day celebration is at 6:00 P.M. Daylight Savings Time in the Eastern Zone.  What does Linda have ready for us?  You are such a sweetheart, Linda, to do this for us!

Comment by Barbara Hughes on March 16, 2021 at 9:01am

We are on central  time (daylight savings time now.) Sunday our time sprang forward. When it is 3 pm in Arizona it is 5pm in the central areas. I hope I remember 5pm tomorrow.

Liz and l are in Eastern zone, now on DST... so you are now 3 hours later than us (same as  the Pacific ) since you wisely stay put. We'll be joining you at 6pm our time ( we'll eat dinner early and bring dessert!)

Arizona doesn't change time. Party time is still 3:00 pm AZ time. Don't know what time that is for the rest of y'all.

Comment by Riana Noyes on March 14, 2021 at 6:00pm

Time changed here today! We are now on " daylight savings time"

Comment by Linda Koller on March 14, 2021 at 10:37am

Are you getting ready to party?!

Comment by Riana Noyes on March 6, 2021 at 6:49pm

Yes, Liz. It's in the downstairs hallway just outside my sewing room. If you want to " sew with me" tommorrow ( Sun at 2pm?) I will show you.

Riana, do you really have a dart board in your home?  Of course, you have one in your Tiny Town home but I meant in your real home.

Comment by Linda Koller on March 6, 2021 at 4:36pm

Riana, you're doing better than me! With my current vision, I probably couldn't come close to the dart board!!

Comment by Riana Noyes on March 6, 2021 at 1:05pm

Linda, l've been practicing....this afterseveral tries to get my " arm" back... next photo shows first attempt...as you can see, one didn't even hit the board, lol! I have a long way to go before l can challenge hubby!

Are you getting ready? LOL

May be an image of food and text

I hope we're going to have a variety of foods from everyone for our St. Patty's Day party. I'm so looking forward to cheating on my diet!!! For those not into green beer or Guinness. I found a couple recipes for some green spritzers and Shamrock shakes on Pinterest.

I wish that we did not change times.  It takes me almost a week to get used to the change when it happens.

Comment by Riana Noyes on February 28, 2021 at 9:30am

Linda, maybe certain counties can opt for or against " daylight savings time". Here, we push our clocks ahead in spring ...this year March 14. It will continue in Ont. Canada until Nov.7th. This willeffect what time Liz and l should arrive. Thanks for letting me know that Arizona does not use daylight savings. I guess we in the north need our longer summer daylight hours!

Irish soccer is really different.  They have goal posts to kick through, as well as the net.  One of our tour guide's sons was playing in the 16-18 yr olds nationals when we were there.  On the day, we had to dress in the proper colors and come home early from our hike to watch them play on TV.  The guide went to see them in person and returned to us in very bad shape the next day. Dads celebrating.

Soccer is more my style, Riana....I can understand it...LOL!!!! I'm sure darts are in order! With my cataracts, I probably couldn't hit the broad side of a barn these days. I'll be more with the singing and dancing myself...not that I can sing a note in tune but after a couple drinks who cares!?! I have an Irish friend (actually he's friends with one of my sons) who every time I walked into the pub would stop singing (he's a performer) and start singing "I'm my own Grandpa" song. It's such a silly song but almost makes sense!!! He sent me a CD when I moved to Arizona with the song on it. I never paid for a drink when he was performing at Mullarkey's.

I'm surprised at your map. Illinois and Wisconsin and parts of Indiana were always 1 hour behind Ohio. They were in the Central time zone. Maybe it's changed? Arizona doesn't change time. Sometimes we are mountain time and others we are pacific time depends what time of the year.
