Tiny Town a funtastic place for UFO group members to live.

Tiny Town  is our safe haven when life gets crazy. We are all healthy and happy here, because we know our neighbours and friends living here are quilters too. To buy a small house in Tiny Town, you must perform one random act of kindness , and to buy a larger home ( 2 chimnies), you'll be performing 2 random acts of kindness. All houses have large sewing rooms, and have been built to last.Large homes have storage for more stash, but smaller homes have bigger yards.  Here you can have housemates from your past, alive or otherwise, your present spouce ( only if you wish, lol) as well as pets from past or present. I know you will be responsible pet owers and thoughtfull neighbours, because this is just that kind of place.  Only houses on the back are for sale.

Linda, l'm so glad you accepted the position...the hours for the baker are, of course totally flexable, as there are other who love pets working the store .Young pet lovers will be given the opportunity for parttime jobs after school,( no doubt they will even help with online sales). The owners are allowing pets on a leash or harness to visit indoors , but they must be on their best behavior. A small doggie height drinking fountain will be installed outdoors come spring.

I added my response yesterday. I don't know why it isn't showing up here today.

Yes, I accept Riana! I probably should find some recipes for kitties too since I only have doggie recipes.

Ginny, no, you don't  announce the deeds...(they are your own business)...but it's ok if someone wants to ' report' theirs.

Dee, l found the post...you chose # 35, third row  from bottom, right hand side. Nice choice...now, please think of a name for it :-))

Riana ~  I cannot remember the house number for the life of me -- it was a message I don't know how long back and you gave me available numbers .. in the 40s .. close to Linda and Ginny ?  aaack ..

Welcome. Dee! Were we supposed to tell you our good deeds? I don't think I told you, but I promise I did them!

Welcome to the neighborhood, Dee!

Comment by Riana Noyes on November 20, 2020 at 1:54pm

Yes Dee.you only need to tell me the house # and a name for it...let me know, because sometimes 2 people choose the same house.

Checking in on everyone and the neighborhood - sorry I have been so reclusive - working like mad on the quilts to get to quilter and even with staycation, I have been towing the line.

Riana - did two QOV presentations, helped a friend with cutting a quilt and provided a quilt layout / pattern for someone else  - I forgot to give you that information. Can I move in to my house yet ?

Congrats to all the winners!

I meant to mention that the dancing photo of you and Paul was so nice, Mary! We can see that you two are so well suited!

I am experiencing some neck issues that keep me from sewing for as long as I would want at a sitting. That is my limitation, Riana!

Liz, you are too funny! I haven't counted how many UFOs I have...too afraid...I might surpass you!!!! And yes I've seen the new CT collections...unfortunately medical bills won't let me purchase any especially after just purchasing some doggie prints from fabric.com and FB stash buster sites so I can make dog coat donations.

Linda, I can't read the newspaper or do hand applique, but I did machine quilt Colourful Kitties in a large meandering motif.  I can't really tell if it isn't my usual standard or not.  With my scraps, it really doesn't matter if I'm a little off. LOL

I think that you have been doing very well with your projects. Donating stuff to worthy causes is a nice thing to do.  I have chosen a nice Flying Geese quilt pattern for my Hungarian kekfesto fabrics.  I can start cutting them while I wait for my order to arrive.  Have you seen the Azul collection at Connecting Threads?  It is so beautiful and will go with my precious fabric from Hungary so well.  I know that Riana is saying - oh no! that will be Liz's 159th UFO.  ROFLOL!  And Barbara will be redoing her math!  Barbara, I can do 12 a year if I don't get much frailer than now.

Somehow I missed the crossword I think...at least I don't remember it. Too much fun that day with Tiny Town party, pet parade, and party up the street. Mary you were having too much fun swinging on the rope...altho I didn't realize elephants swung on ropes...ROFLOL!!!! Congrats to the winners!

Liz, how are you doing all that sewing with your eye situation??? I've made 2 dog coats (donation prizes), 16 bow ties and 3 bandannas that slide onto dog collars. Our little community is having their annual craft sale next month. I was asked to donate something for the vets who are trying to raise funds for a service dog for vets. The trainers will be at the craft show and I was asked to come talk to them and see if they could help me when I get my new dog. I'm starting to look. John who leads our vets club said they may be able to help me.

I am working on the binding of Colourful Kitties.  I made an order from Connecting Threads - 18 fqs from the Azul collection (they are to coordinate with my Hungarian kekfesto fabrics) and a quilt kit at 50% off.  Shipping is free.  We'll see how long it takes to get here.
