I finished 2 of the quilts….Dresden Neighborhood and Baby quilt for great nephew.  GFG top is finished, but it is quilted.  Already packed it and the other 3 on the list.  I am hoping to play catch up while waiting for house to be finished.

Here we are so near the end of 2021! Can everyone please tell me what's done and what's still in progress from their list? If you needcto see your list/ post, l have screen shots of them.

My own 3 are not done, but all are close to it. My travel quilt is on the quilt frame.Tammy's quilt restoration is getting binding tomorrow ( l spent much of today carefully removingvthe old). The needlepoint has about 3 square inches left to complete.

Zoe, it's 66 x 77 , and the blocks all face outwards from the center to sides. This will always be tossed over sofa or chairs, so it didn't want it all in one direction.

The restoration quilt is down to the last bits of hand quilting around the outer edges.

No progress this week on the needlepoint so far.

Riana, what size did it turn out to be ? It's fun to see some of the fabric I sent your way and how you used it, not just the backing .

Comment by Riana Noyes on December 26, 2021 at 8:43pm

The travel quilt top is now complete. The backing is planned, but not yet put together. I may just get this done yet!

  2. Needlepoint ....3" at one end left to do.
  3. Travel quilt....still on " time out" . I'm waiting for an " aha moment" to strike ,lol

You have enhanced Elizabeth's quilt top with your special quilting to  be such a treasured piece for her daughter. You are a wonderful friend, Riana! It is beautiful!

Zoe, it'll be something we can work on in the new year, so much going on right now!

Comment by Riana Noyes on December 10, 2021 at 9:06pm

Chris, l felt very close to her. She kept " telling" me to " keep it simple", but l couldn't help but embellish that lovely top...especially all that lovely negative space!

Great job finishing Liz's quilt Riana. What a gift for her family. So kind and generous of you. I am sure Liz was watching and smiling down on you while you did it.

Riana, Have you and others found our new home?

Dee, l was only told that an announcement would be made ( don't know when), and April is the deadline. So copy any photos you saved here you wish to keep, and you can save some parts of conversations by taking screen shots. I've been copying links to tutorials that people have posted as well. It's time l watched some of them before they get too old to work.

Riana ~

Such a beautiful memory for Liz' family .. I wish I could even think about being able to do that.  If I can just FINISH everything that I want to do that would be a blessing!

When will the site be shutting down ?  Is there a definite date ?

Dee

Beautiful job, Riana.  I am sure Liz was watching over your quilting process.  The little heart is just too cute.  I am sure the recipients will be pleased, and know Jim will be grateful.

Here is that little patch Liz had to apply after accidently snipping quilt while cutting a thread when pressing it.

l just finished the quilting on Elizabeth's quilt! All the way through, l felt like Liz was looking over my shoulder and watching < grin> l've never felt so close to her as l have these past 2 weeks. So, here it is ( l still have to buy fabric for binding).
