I've set up a discussion over on " Our Quilt Place" group for a 2022 PHD challenge. Rules only slightly different for this one...you can choose a quilt that's not begun yet, one that will challenge your talents or you've been dreaming of doing.
My travel quilt is coming along slow but sure on the frame. Needlepoint's stalled until light improves in the house. The ott light's too powerfull and washes outvthe distinction between pale pinks and lt. creams in the flowers l'm working on.
We have a name! Our Quilt Place. Please join needlespot.com first, then ask to join our group. https://needlespot.com/
Definitely a work of love, Riana! Gorgeous!
Beautiful quilt. So glad you were able to restore it. Many years of use/love ahead for it.
That is a project of love, Riana! Beautiful quilt.
I sent a note to everyone on my contact list about the upcoming move and the list of names being considered, but some folks may not be on that list... (Pat, you're one of them .) So check the list on the Main UFO page, and you can leave a vote comment there on Sunday.
Pat, I like " The Quilting Place" too, It makes it seem more open, inviting.
Another suggestion for names. How about "The Quilting Place"
This is CrissCross. I had trouble posting both pics on the same page. Got confused.
It has taken me all day to get these pictures. First I had to find my camera....Anyway, the first pic is of the backing and binding for the Irish Chain. The second pic is of CrissCross, the next quilt I want to finish along with its backing. I don't remember when I started it but it has been a while.
Riana My second project is CrissCross. I don't have a pic of it yet. Hopefully I can get to it today. It needs a good pressing . I have backing for it but until I get it pressed and measured, I don't know if I have enough. I'm hoping to finish pressing the Irish chain today, measure the backing (decided to use what I have) and go on from there. Then I can get to CrissCross. I am unable to stand for very long so it takes me a while to get the pressing completed. I am also cutting strings etc at the same time so it tends to be take me a while.
Pat, what's your second project to complete?
Lol, Zoe, l'd have got writers' cramp! They've been added to the list. I like " Our Quilt Place"!
Ok. 12 names on list!
Today l continued quilting on my Travel quilt. Lots of detail work with all those tiny sashings and going arround appliques. It took 2 days just to do all the SID around blocks, their borders, and the sashes. My SID ruler work has greatly improved, thanks to all the practice!

5) This is the quilt that never end's, yes it goes on and on my friends, someone started sewing on it not knowing that it was and they will continue sewing on it just because... This is the quilt that never end's.
No, not #5 ... lol
A list of potential names for our new group (at Needlespot) from suggestions will be posted by me on Sat.and we'll vote on Sunday.
Keep those name suggestions coming! We have 6 so far.
Riana, I actually like the name you picked out, it allows others to recognize where people have gone too instead of trying to find people again.
Pat, I love your Irish chain ! I love greens too. I like how you did your boarder. Do you have someone to do the quilting? I am sure there are many on here, but I use Beth North to do most of mine, she does a very nice job.
