Ha ha, Ginny, that works, lol. I suggested Song of India on Liz's  fb post. I have been cleaning up after my hubby...tools, sawdust, planks of left over flooring. Tomorrow he'll put the finishing touches on the hall floor, then sanding and finishing next week. After that the floors will finally all be done! Once all the things in our house are dusted/ washed and put back in place, l should be able to get back to sewing and quilting. I admit to being a bit grumpy through all this...l'm not a clean freak, but l do like things put away in an orderly manner so l know exactly where they are.

Zoe, l think for 2 months, someone has been shooing my ducks away...l'll have to go looking for them.

For fun - how about Purple Prancing Pachyderms?

Indian Dancer is appropriate. However, living in the Southwest, I had something else pictured.

|Chris, I really like your bargello quilt.  Some day I will make one too.  It will be so nice for you to quilt it in your new quilt studio.

Zoe, it doesn't matter of our ducks are in a row.  Just having ducks is good enough and you've got a lot of them in your picture.  My daughter has white Peking Ducks that she breeds and raises and sells.  Today was her market day, so I will talk to her later and find out how her baked goods sold and the other produce as well.  She bakes all day Friday to prepare for this morning.

I'm sewing a backing now.  I remember what Linda said - that it took me a lot longer to sew the scrappy pieced blocks than the tops of my quilts.  |It is true! Haha!  I will be ready to sandwich another quilt next week.

This is a closeup of my quilt so you can see the quilting and the subject matter.  Please send me a good name.

Hello all...sure have missed a lot since last here.  The quilts are beautiful.  Chris I am amazed at your studio, what a wonderful place to work.

I pulled out some fabric that I think will work as a border for my PHD, but I need to think about it for a bit.  I am ready to put the borders on my Jagged X’s quilt....all from scraps.  Next I need to start cutting up the t-shirts for grandson’s quilt...he turned 16 on the 2nd.  Time sure is flying.

suster broke her left foot last Saturday, spent 4 hours at ER.  Took her to ortho doc on Monday.  Told her minimal walking, no cast, no ladders/foot stools or step stools.  She tended to ignore this...he explained why it is so dangerous, especially for those living alone.  Tomorrow I will do her grocery shopping and take it to her.  She goes back on the 30th for a check up...neighbor will take her as we leave for NC that day.

Everyone have a great weekend.  I hope to get a few things finished this weekend.  Quilted a small quilt, so maybe I can do the binding.  This top was done in 2019, so it needs to be finished.

May be an image of text that says 'I DON'T HAVE ALL, NOT EVEN SOME,O MY,DUCKSINAROW AROW BUT THEY'RE ALL IN THE SAME POND, SO I HAVE THAT GOING FOR ME, WHICH IS COOL.' Saw this and thought about this group.

That looks terrific, Chris.

I have progress on my PHD's! I finished piecing the top for the green Argyle Bargello! Thank the sweet baby Jesus. Here it is, the first top to hang on my design wall in my new studio! Now I need to figure out the backing since I used the one I had for this on another quilt....

Kris, as Liz mentioned...it was like Christmas...especially since l had my longarm all set up ,only to discover the OLED screen's cable was threaded backwards! I had a call in to the company, but due to time zones, l didn't get the info l needed until today. I practiced on the new longarm....oh my! Tomorrow it will be loaded with a little baby panel with border and pieced backing to give it a go :-))

I am happy to say that I am finally starting to sew again! I don't have everything set up, but it is set up enough that I can get in the room and enjoy it. I have made great progress on the green bargello, only about 8 rows left to make on the right, then sewing the 3 sections together!

Thank you all for your kind words. I do feel very lucky to have been able to build this room and have the time and energy to enjoy it. I was so cramped in my other sewing spaces. This is such a nice change! I am sure it will be filled up in no time, however.

Chris - I'm totally jealous of your roomy, airy, white, full of storage sewing area!!!!  You've put a lot of work into it and it's wonderful.  Now sit back and sew!

Riana - the Wedding Ring quilt isn't going to a bride, lol.  I had intended to give it to one of my daughters because she said years ago when I started it that she liked it.  However, she's in prison until Sept. and has only vague plans for what she is going to do when she gets out - and - I'm sure she doesn't even remember the quilt or saying that she liked it.  I posted it on my facebook page and one of my nieces said her six year old daughter saw it and said “mommy, can you buy me that blanket?”  So I am sending it to her.  The small size will be perfect for a 6 year old, and when my daughter has proved she is grown up (she's 30, for pete's sake) and can live drug free and take care of herself I'll make her another one.

Riana is the master of using bits and pieces.  I can't wait to see what she turns my bits into!!  Glad that package got there.  It's been almost 4 weeks!

I just watched Riana open her parcel from Chris!  So many wonderful things all ready to turn into various charity quilts.  Riana said that it was like Christmas.

Chris, you really made her happy!

Chris, your studio is so beautiful!  It will be exciting to see all the creativity that will result!
