Wilma, Love the room. What a pleasant place to work.
I spent yesterday hand sewing the binding of Kaitlyn's Quilt except for the time I sewed on my machine with Riana and Kris. It was the highlight of my day. It is so nice to have company in my sewing room. I feel so content sewing away and seeing them right there with me. I worked on sewing my X-blocks. Riana was sewing a kitten block and Kris was machine quilting her French Braid quilt.
Can't wait to see photos of your room with the new furniture all set up Wilma.
Trim is down in my sewing room but the old garage floor has some high and low spots so I think I need to put some quarter round down to hide the gaps between the trim and floor. Sealing the floor today and then the move in can start! Stay tuned for photos! SO EXCITING TO FINALLY BE AT THIS STAGE!
Finally some nicer weather! I've been hoping to get some work done on my restoration challenge quilt on the deck.
Beautiful quilt, Theresa. Love GFG quilts, now I need to finish mine.
Sewing room furniture is all put together, now I need to clean the room.
Beautiful gfg, Theresa. Welcome back !!
Happy for your progress Chris. Looking forward to seeing it all together.
Love the center chosen for your travel quilt, Riana
Yay, Chris. You will be spending some happy hours feathering (filling up) your quilting nest :-)) l hope the move in goes smoothely...especially the longarm.
Beautiful quilt Theresa. I like EPP also, especially as a travel project. I have started several...just haven't finished anything. Hand quilting is quite an undertaking! I have never tried it, although my father gave me a frame that he bought on on a lawn sale. Maybe one day I will give it a try.
My husband and I got all the grout done on the floor of the sewing studio! That was the last of the major stuff still needing to be done! THANG GOODNESS! It is quite a large room and being on your knees on the floor for hours is quite hard, especially as we get older. Now there are some minor items to do, like base trim and a couple of electrical items to finish up, and we need to seal the grout. Then the monumental task of moving everything in. So happy to have most of the construction work done. I haven't sewn anything in weeks!
Theresa, your quilt is awesome!
I love gfg quilts! I hand quilted as well, though not as often as l once did. l use a q snap floor frame on large projects and hoop for lap size. My restoration project is at a standstill while we are doing our flooring. I do sneak down to sewing room, but keep getting called back upstairs to help, sigh.
What an heirloom you have created, Theresa. Beautiful!
They are not fussy cut. I cut each one and hand quilting done in a hoop
Theresa - that's beautiful! I love the choice of white and yellow as frames for the flowers.
Theresa, your quilt is a masterpiece. It is so beautiful! I love how you have fussy cut the flowers in your Grandmother's Flower Garden. Do you hand quilt in a large frame?
Just finished hand quilting
It's good to see you here, Theresa. It has been a while. Yes, please share what you've been working on.
Hello Theresa, I hope that you will be joining us. This is the best group of quilting friends ever.
Since I will not be machine quilting Kaitlyn's quilt until Monday when I pick up the thread from the quilt shop, I am working on a smaller version of The Crayon Quilt.
Theresa - you've been really busy! Can we see some pictures, please?
