Zoe, this colorful beauty should be a throw, and used in any room of their residence.Bed quilts get hidden away in a private room....and being tall, they'd have a queen, Calif. king or king bed...a whopping 120 x120 needed in latter. Now get it into the mail asap...Beth has a lot of other quilts to work on. Good work. We'll call it " done " when binding's stitched on.

Thank you all, here is the completed quilt. They are hunters and live in the country, she likes purple, he likes blue and she said they both love brown and green because they hunt, so when I saw this pattern I know this was their quilt.  I do question though, the pattern said this would be 80 x80, but it really is 76 x76. Do you think I should add more border to this as they are tall, or just leave it as is for them to use as a throw?  Oh, that is a wall paper mural I put up behind my bed. I need to get a smaller head board.

Mary, the tapestry is beautiful. 

Zoe, I love the maple leaf blocks, they are one of my favorites.  Love the colors.

Linda, Thimbleberries is technically closed up, but Lynette Jennings occasionaly puts out a line of fabric.  I probably have at least ten of her books and also lots of patterns.  I have found a lot of her fabrics and books on e-bay.  I have purchased a few of the fabrics.  I was addicted to her fabrics and books from the beginning.  I have some of her first patterns that she printed herself and mailed out.  Years ago there was a shop about fifty miles from where I lived and at least once a month I went there and belonged to the monthly project group.  They carriedall her fabrics and patterns and I was in hog heaven.  All these years later they are still my favorites. 

Riana, that's good advice about cutting the binding.  I always make my binding when I'm cutting out my fabric and put it in a plastic bag.  I learned to do this the hard way, by not having the right fabric fo it and having to substitute.

Great job of organizing, Zoe... l'm confident you'll get it off to Beth early this week. She gets really backed up, so better warn her about it coming, as you now both have a deadline! If you cut/ prepare the binding as soon as possible , you can't accidently use up your fabric choice doing something else...just store the binding and leaves for cushion in clear plastic & hang on a command hook on the wall in sight so they don't get lost.

I'd like to know where you slept last night! Zoe.  That is going to be quite a good sized quilt.  It looks like you are combining the Maple Leaf block with Log Cabins.  Colours are wonderful!

Riana, that was cute !!!! This is how my bed looks tonight. I have some of the rows stitched together, they are folded up because I needed to work on the left side where I needed to figure out which fabrics I could use. I should be able to get these blocks done tonight. I had to stop for a bit to cut out more fabric. I am hoping to get this done this weekend, and mailed off to Beth. I have some extra leaves, so since the gal likes purple and my nephew loves blue, I will do a decorative pillow with those two colors. I ordered the 22x22 pillows I will need for that.  By the way, you forgot to add " yard work" to the list of excuses ! lol  Which is something I need to do tomorrow to clean up after the last storm.

Riana, I like what you said to Mary about her tapestry.  I would love to sit there too with you and Mary  but I've never stitched on a tapestry.  I'd be too scared I'd mess it up, Mary.

I am working on the pillow to go with the "Going to the Zoo" quilt.  I had some left over fabric but I had sewed it already into 6" squares.  I took 1 apart and I can almost duplicate the blocks in the quilt.  My green is a little lighter than the one I used in the quilt.  And I am still cutting the pieces for a Baby Girl Cat Quilt.

Mary, that's a masterpiece of stigchery. I know there was a nice " cartoon" to follow done by artist...but your choice of yarns has brought it to life! Your dedication to this project warms my heart. How l'd love to sit next to you and stitch at your side on the next one!

Elizabeth, I have a Thimbleberries book. When a friend from my church in Scottsdale passed, her husband gave me most of her stash and there was a whole box of Thimbleberries fabrics. I'm using some on my pansy quilt.

#11 Tapestry

Wool embroidered on Linen. 6'X3'

Dedicated to firefighters worldwide.

The second from the bottom picture shows what our summer skies were like.

I think I did close to  half the stitching.

After taking the pictures of the tapestry.  The boss (who has aged terribly the last few months) told me I would be getting #12 to work on at home after the holidays.  So the first item for me in 2021 will be....

Good to hear you are sewing, Linda.  I hope that you continue to feel better.  There is a quilt site for Thimbleberries and women are selling their Thimbleberries kits, books, patterns and fabric.  Has Thimbleberries ceased to exist?  I
