Inspiring Quilters, Stitch by Stitch
This is a retreat put on by a friend from Quilter's Club of America. Her name is Sara Wall. She and her hubby bought a lodge in the Smokys and it has a 1200 sq ft space for tables to quilt or craft at. Our quilting retreat in June is being held there. She is into fiber arts and wants to have others use her lodge for retreats. There are no sponsors or vendors although shop hops are definite possibilities. As for classes, having just come from a week long retreat in Virginia Beach, I know that fiber arts friends are always willing to share their knowledge. We had several impromptu classes making dolls, needleturn applique, embroidery and others. This will be a great time to experience new fiber arts as well as work on what you normally do.
The dates are Nov. 1-4 with early check-in possible on Wednesday, October 31. It will take place at The Lodge at Douglas Lake in Sevierville, TN and is open to fiber artists of all types. The cost is $145 if you arrive after lunch on Thursday, $190 if you arrive on Wednesday and includes ALL MEALS. This is a special introductory price and will never be this low again for lodging and food. All you have to do is come and quilt, knit, crochet, or whatever you want to do! Spaces are limited to 27 and a deposit of $50 will hold your space until Sept. 30. If you are interested in signing up or receiving more info, please email me or post on this discussion.
