Carla you are not being too harsh at all. Unfortunately this is not the first time this has happened.

these are my last words on this subject and then I am done and moving on to more fun subjects.

I hope you all are not misunderstanding. I certainly wish no ill will on Mary and I am dearly hopeful that nothing has happened to her. I certainly hope not that would be very sad. I even checked to see if she may have been affected by the fires.

I am carrying a lot of guilt and anxiety because I asked a minimum of half of the people personally to join this to fill the slots, told them how fun it would be, and asked for their time. so I feel obligated to find out what happened. they are asking. I know that at least one person has spoken to her directly and this was several weeks after all machines were fixed and that blocks would be shipping out.  the  conversation was that she simply decided to take a long vacation with family and leave phones out of the picture.

The complaints are that no communication has been attempted. we were not told that there would be an extended vacation and blocks would be delayed until after it which would have been nice and even simple to do.  We were not told anything. that's the issue. also a different swap that was started after this one was sent back out in the middle of this absence which suggests that vacation is over and still no communication has been attempted.

I would have gladly donated my blocks  if they were needed. they are not something special to me...that's not it. communication is key if you are to host a swap. that is all. in a world of so many technologies it is hard to imagine that not a word could be sent out. and it is also not the first time it has happened.

I apologize to anyone who feels I am being too harsh. I am just trying to find answers for all with no luck and none in sight.

Who wants to do a block swap? I'll host it. Any suggestions?

I'm not part of this swap... but following. I too was thinking as Gayle C. has mentioned. People don't just suddenly go from organized participant and coordinator to " deadbeat". Something bad must have happened.

I wish we could. However, Mary is the one we all mailed our blocks to so she could sort and ship them back to everyone. She has ALL the blocks and we have no idea when or if we will be receiving the other 11 we are expecting.

Always one that doesn't finish or honor the commitment.  I've seen it so often.  Just go ahead and finish your challenge without expecting getting all involved.

Always one what Nancy? Please explain.

To Chris Michelle - there is always one!

Gayle, while I appreciate the sentiment, I feel we have all been more than fair and patient with Mary. The blocks were supposed to be shipped June 20th. Her machine (and others) had issued which delayed them. Understandable. She said she had her new machine and the blocks would be shipped the first week of July. She never shipped them nor communicated to the group she was leaving town for an extended time and would complete when she returned. She HAS however, completed a different swap while not communicating to the group and not sending our blocks. My original post said that, if there were and emergency or illness, of course it is understandable she would not be communicating. But, she was not ill when leaving for a month on vacation and chose not to communicate any of the delays with the group. That is simply wrong. You may react however you like. Many of us are simply frustrated with the complete lack of response from her, even while she was perfectly able to complete another swap.

Not everyone prays. Thanks
