I would really like to see the Ugly Fabric Swap done again. I watched when you all did it a few years back and loved the end results that everyone came up with. So many new members that haven't done anything with us yet!

Carla, the tea towel thing sounds like fun.  Maybe we could start around Feb. or March.  Need to get a few more things finished by then.  I',m kind of slow so it takes me a while.

Hey guys!! It is not likely that i will start anymore groups nor join any until after first of the year. I have a grandbaby coming in Feb. And i have several quilts i need to make. Also i am trying to help someone with a project too. I want to complete my under the sea as well. Busy busy......man am i glad i reread that. My phone wrote busy h****. Smh....that may be true too. Anyway...somewhere down the road in 2019 i would like to do a "little things" swap. I would like to do tea towels. We would only need to send in 4 and  i would just mix them up and return. I would like to do the tea towels every other month so we can get a little  collection of them. They could be embroidered or appliqued.  Sound fun? Keep it in mind.

Ladies, I have changed the Lonely Hearts swap to see if more of you would be interested.

Comment by Kathy Gurgone on August 9, 2018 at 1:02pm

There is no pattern or parameters for the hearts.  The are not meant to line up exactly, you just try to cut the as close on the center line as possible.  Some people do a single heart, some people do a heart within a heart.  The look is really cool once you get them all together.  I will go ahead and start the sign-up and when I get a chance I will post a picture of a couple of blocks so that you get the idea of how your blocks will look.

I have seen this done both in hearts and leaves. The variable of the different heart shapes and colors is part of the charm of this block. It makes for a fun, funky, unique look to the block! Kathy is right the more variety the better! I am in!
