Gayle, while I appreciate the sentiment, I feel we have all been more than fair and patient with Mary. The blocks were supposed to be shipped June 20th. Her machine (and others) had issued which delayed them. Understandable. She said she had her new machine and the blocks would be shipped the first week of July. She never shipped them nor communicated to the group she was leaving town for an extended time and would complete when she returned. She HAS however, completed a different swap while not communicating to the group and not sending our blocks. My original post said that, if there were and emergency or illness, of course it is understandable she would not be communicating. But, she was not ill when leaving for a month on vacation and chose not to communicate any of the delays with the group. That is simply wrong. You may react however you like. Many of us are simply frustrated with the complete lack of response from her, even while she was perfectly able to complete another swap.

Not everyone prays. Thanks

Perhaps instead of complaining about Mary, we should be praying for her.  Perhaps she has been in a terrible accident or is very ill.  Perhaps some disaster has fallen on her and her family that they do not have internet service.  Yes, lack of contact is annoying to say the least but perhaps we should continue to wait and see what circumstances have occurred to cause the delay.

There is still one more day left to get in on Junes Project of the month . This months project is a table topper or candle mat. Happy stitching all!!

P.S.  I know that it is hard to see, but the blocks are labelled Winnie, Woody, Thelma and Louise.  Please let me know which of the blocks you are interested in doing for the exchange when you PM me.  Thanks again, Kathy G

OK Ladies and Gentlemen,

I know that most of you do not know me very well yet, but I am a big fan of raw edge applique and I like designing my own blocks.  I wanted to see if any of you would be interested in joining me on a block exchange road trip.  I have pictures below of the rough drafts of the blocks for this exchange.  I will have the finished patterns done shortly.  On this exchange I will send each person the pattern for one block of their choice along with special instructions.  Since everyone is quite busy this summer, you would have until December 15th to get the blocks to me so that I can get the blocks back to everyone by the end of the year.  Let me know if you are interested.  PM me with the block of your choice, and I will get them sent out to everyone on July 1.  If I don't get at least 12 inquiries I will let everyone know.  If I get more than 12, just remember you are only required to send in 11 blocks, and you will get back 11 blocks.  But the more people who sign up for the road trip, the merrier.  The blocks will be 12 1/2" x 12 1/2"

Good morning all!  Anyone in the mood for a new project?? I will be starting a project of the month swap a bit later today, just figuring out a few last details. Every month will be a different project that can be done in a weekend or maybe a few days.  You can sign up month by month so if there is a project that doesn't interest you, your time is just to filled up pass for that month and join in on the next.

I would also be interested in the individual projects!

Mary, I like the idea but I agree with Connie. I could only commit to each swap individually as I have a lot coming up. I also like the project idea, especially if it involves  microwave bowl covers lol...I use them all the time. I wish someone would crochet some of those dish  scrubbies too. someone gave me one and I love it but haven't been able to find one since....they are awesome!
