You are so right Ginny. And I finally thought they were finished, but some had spots on their squidy legs that I missed. About the time I made that discovery, I figured out the thread was the problem I was having. Now I have to wait for the thread to arrive to complete them. LOL, how many months have I been singing about Octopus' gardens and yellow submarines? Feels like six or seven months!
Wow some already done. Lol
I better get on it ;) Happy Mother's Day Ladies!!!
Happy mother’s day!
Happy Mother’s Day all you fabulous Quilters/sewers/swappers....or should I say “multi-tasters”...have a great day.
Oooh I like being a multi-taster as well as a multi-tasker. Lol. Happy Mother’s Day,
I hope your was good too. Mine was quiet but that's fine.
Today I'm going to start quilting Uncle Sam. Just doing it simply. That's good enough for me. Lol.
Oh man, just can't seem to get to mine. I traced out all my pieces and then my templates disappeared. I am going to take this to Montana with me since I know I have 16 hours of driving time to do. I can get them all traced and ready to fuse. Unless at the hotel I have time to secure them to fabric, then I will be cutting them out on way home. yep that sounds like a perfect plan. Trace them on way to Montana, cut them out on way back. Will have separate baggies for each of the fish parts so they do not get lost or mixed up. Then as each one is cut out, into the bag it goes. When home, can fuse them to the fabric and get them stitched down. There we have it. A way for Beth to get something done. I did find some perfect shiny silver fabric for my baracuda. Then I found a nice fabric for the coral he will be swimming around. I did not want real shiny so I found, on sale mind you, a brownish orange tone. Think it will be perfect. If not, will go to that bright pink tone.
sounds like a plan. cant wait to see them. :)
Thank you all for the Happy Mother's Day wishes. I hope everyone had a nice day too. My children cooked and unexpectedly my oldest son stopped by and joined us for lunch. Beth, isn't this the busiest time of year? I am not getting to any quilting at all to speak of. It looks like once the first week of June has passed I will have some time again. My turtles are ready to go so I better check when they need to go out.
Yeah, it is and only beginning. Come July and August, won't get much else done.
Mother's Day was nice. Picked my rhubarb, about 40 pounds worth, cleaned, cut up, and froze, plus made two batches of rhubarb punch and a strawberry rhubarb glace pie. I am stocked up for a little bit, till next picking. Hoping to make some rhubarb raspberry jam then. Then unloaded dirt from truck with kids' help, planted my flowers, then watched a movie with family. It was nice. Of course I worked, I am a mom.
ANNA, and everyone else...you have about a month best mail by June 15th or so because they need to be in my hands by the 20th of June! because they will go right back out.
