Come join the fun as we prepare Secret Santa packages throughout the year. There will be tutorials for gift ideas. Kathy will have surprise activities, maybe some "impossible missions". There are always lots of discussions so you can try to guess who your Secret Santa might be and to drop hints for gifts to your Secret Santa.

Well ladies, I guess I better add my name to this list before I forget. I would like a 12.5 x 12.5" scrappy string block. Recently, I have really gotten in the scrappy string block mood. I love…Continue

Colleen would like the same pattern used as Kris, but with a slight twist. She would like the center blue, the short side white and the long side red.Continue

Lee would like crazy blocks. 12.5 x 12.5" Red, Whites, and Blues, of course. I know that Lee likes live theater, so I was thinking maybe blocks that represented a different Broadway play. Even…Continue

Melanie has decided to join the log cabin group, so by now everyone should have the instructions for this on, as it has been the most popular block for our group this year. She would like the red…Continue

Trudyann, I got a lovely Log Cabin block in the mail!!!! Thank you so much for making and mailing it. I'm posting this over on Needle Spot, too. How are the renovations going?
Thank you Melanie for the lovely Ohio Star block! I love the fabrics you used!!
Beth, can't wait to see my quilts! Guess that means I'd better start making the binding for the Thimbleberries. It's the last large quilt I'll ever make...too hard on my shoulders. Can't wait to get it on my bed! So excited!!!! I do want to make a twin size, however, for the guest room bed. I think I want to sell the Beatles quilt. It was fabric leftovers from another quilt. I still have a few scraps. Thank you so very much Beth!!
Melanie, thanks for the beautiful block. Haven’t had good wifi for close to a month. We were in the mountains cat sitting/ housesitting for my brother-in-law’s house.
Love that hen Melanie. She will love those placemats.
I am working on Linda's quilts right now so they can get to her this week. Wow, one of them is quite huge. You wrangled that one quite well Linda.
Blocks are on wall still. Sewing room is a disaster till I get it put back together. We still have the office yet to put away and pictures to hang. Otherwise we are about done and can get outside once the weather warms up a bit. Picked up my Youkon Golds and Red potatoe seed and some Walla Walla onions. Excited to get them in the ground so they will be ready by July 4th. That is always a goal, have creamed potatoes and peas. They are so good.
Can you believe I still have not touched my taxes. I may have to file an extension. I just do not want to look at them. They are not complicated this year, but I don't want to have to pay in.
Awesome idea Kathy!
Hope to see all of you over on Needlespot soon! I don't know how much longer we'll be able to access this site. Hope everyone is doing well. Rocky passed advanced obedience training on Friday. Next phase is service dog training. Whew! What a process!
finally got my last 3 blocks done - Colleens got mailed Saturday, Kris's is going in the mail Monday and I hand delivered Mels to her this morning. Sorry it took me so long to get them done. The first log cabin blocks i made were not the right size . I'd like to say it was the patterns fault but that would be a lie. It was definitely my error.
Happy Easter to everyone
I have received my blocks from just about everyone. I am so excited to do a Valor Quilt for my Nephew in Law to thank him for all that he sacrificed in Afghanistan.
Well, good to know some people have received their blocks! Hope the other 5 got there. I dropped Trudyann's off so I am sure she got hers.
Did my first basket block for Needlespot challenge. Now need to catch up with block 2 before block 3 comes out. Also made 20 bookend blocks for a swap at Calico Gals quilt shop and mailed them.
I'm now working on my mother-in-law's birthday present - 8 placemats and napkins. Got a hen and a rooster done - therre are pigs and cows too. Very...
Yes! I received my block from Melanie as well. Love it!!!!!! It fits so perfectly. I am excited to get going on it, but have to finish up putting everything back in its place and mend. Who knew that all the bending I have been doing on the floors has caused my bursitis to flare up. Then I gave myself tendonitis in the elbow again. Wow, just to save $5,000. I know right, it still was a good idea.
I totally get the rabbit holes Melanie. I am not paying to much attention to Needle Spot yet. Taxes need done first, then customer quilts, then my quilts, then can have more fun. Yeah, that sounds good..........squirrel.
