Come join the fun as we prepare Secret Santa packages throughout the year. There will be tutorials for gift ideas. Kathy will have surprise activities, maybe some "impossible missions". There are always lots of discussions so you can try to guess who your Secret Santa might be and to drop hints for gifts to your Secret Santa.

Well ladies, I guess I better add my name to this list before I forget. I would like a 12.5 x 12.5" scrappy string block. Recently, I have really gotten in the scrappy string block mood. I love…Continue

Lee would like crazy blocks. 12.5 x 12.5" Red, Whites, and Blues, of course. I know that Lee likes live theater, so I was thinking maybe blocks that represented a different Broadway play. Even…Continue

Melanie has decided to join the log cabin group, so by now everyone should have the instructions for this on, as it has been the most popular block for our group this year. She would like the red…Continue

Hello Ladies! It has been some time since I was on here. Some things going on - bath remodel and total knee replacement at the same time. Nothing like having the bathroom tied up when you're using a walker.
I am quite a bit behind but will try to finish everything up in the next couple weeks. It has been hard to sit and sew for a while, but I'm going to try some todayl
I got 4 of beautiful log cabin blocks in the mail this last week - I'll try to send photos later.
God bless you all in the new year and thank you for your patience.
Mel
Happy New Year!
I still don't have my sewing room unpacked. They just anchored the cabinets to the wall yesterday. Now to find sewing room boxes! Before I can really unpack I have to have someone come in and do a deep cleaning. Too much dirt, dust, and grime and I'm having difficulty breathing. Turns out my neighbor has a cleaning business and her quote was the best. Now to get on her schedule. Meanwhile, I'm living out of boxes. Hopefully, soon I'll be able to get into sewing mode again and can finish up the blocks I didn't get finished.
Happy New Year. Today I will finish the last thing for my Secret Santa and get it in the mail on Monday. Then will get my blocks finished and get them in the mail. Hopefully I can be a little more organized in 2022.
The kitchen project is taking longer than I thought it would. Not the contractors fault. When the counter got installed it was wrong - sink was set back 7 inches when it should have been 3 -4 inches . so had to wait 2 1/2 weeks for the new one. The guy from the counter company apparently did the template wrong. New piece is in and backsplash is done. Today the under cupboard lighting is being put and soon they will put in the new floor and paint the walls. Then they will start the bathrooms.
Thank you Kathy and Virginia for the beautiful quilt blocks. Hope to get my blocks in the mail to you all next week.
Yes, I am a chatter box today. Going to see baby Ellie today. She has four teeth already, army crawling all over the place, and is now sitting up on her own. We are going grocery shopping for tomorrow's gathering.
Happy New Year everone!!!!!!!!!!!
I am on a roll, I have two more blocks to go and will get these mailed on Monday.
Received two blocks yesterday. Thanks Colleen and Ginny. Very nice.
Worked on the log cabin blocks…having a heck of a time getting 12-1/2”…finally the 3rd one worked. So just 4 more left. I want to mail them next week…know I am late, but I haven’t forgotten. Plus a challenge as a lot of fabric is packed.
Colleen, I received your beautiful SS Christmas card block today. Thank you so much! I am glad you enjoyed making it.
You guys are ambitious. We made it to CA. Usual drive takes 4 hours, today’s 6-1/2 hours due to rain, fog and traffic. CA has a lot of traffic and crazy drivers.
Ginny, we don’t physically move til the 20th of January, so am sure it will get here. I just hope to finish up rest of my blocks on return and get everything in the mail. Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday. Me, just hope the rain/snow they are predicting for the 27th doesn’t come to fruition or we won’t get home…
I mailed all of my SS Christmas card blocks today. I am hoping that Linda and Wilma's will get to them.
I
I will be going to the post office in about 2 hours- sending out 7 of my Christmas card blocks ( I still need to make 2 - but found I was better prepared than I thought) and my SS package. I have to work all weekend and figured if I didn’t get it out I would wind up late so- it will be on its way.
whew- what a whirlwind lately
