Inspiring Quilters, Stitch by Stitch
Come join the fun as we prepare Secret Santa packages throughout the year. There will be tutorials for gift ideas. Kathy will have surprise activities, maybe some "impossible missions". There are always lots of discussions so you can try to guess who your Secret Santa might be and to drop hints for gifts to your Secret Santa.

Well ladies, I guess I better add my name to this list before I forget. I would like a 12.5 x 12.5" scrappy string block. Recently, I have really gotten in the scrappy string block mood. I love…Continue

Lee would like crazy blocks. 12.5 x 12.5" Red, Whites, and Blues, of course. I know that Lee likes live theater, so I was thinking maybe blocks that represented a different Broadway play. Even…Continue

Melanie has decided to join the log cabin group, so by now everyone should have the instructions for this on, as it has been the most popular block for our group this year. She would like the red…Continue

Merry Christmas all of you! Your Christmas card blocks are all in the mail, and so are Linda's.
Just so you are prepared - it's going to cost a lot this year. I had my blocks nicely folded into regular business size envelopes, but the post office said they had to go as small parcels, starting at $4.50.
Colleen I think sometime next year. From what Riana wrote we will be notified, but appears to be around April. Guess issues with web stability with Ning and lack of communication on fixes.
I missed something important….This site is going away?
I feel the same way, Kathy.
Linda and Kris, it is so cool that you got to meet each other. I know how much I enjoyed meeting both of you. I am hoping this year to maybe meet some of the other ladies in our group. I am so sorry that this site is going away because it has brought me some great friends and some great memories.
Had a lovely visit with Kris Howell yesterday. She made the 2 hour trek from Apache Jct. to Tucson. I treated Kris to lunch at Wing Stop and she graciously stopped at the hardware store so I could pick up more packing tape. We sat among all the packed boxes for a while and also took Rocky for a walk. I could tell Kris is a dog person!! LOL Rocky did pretty good at lunch...took a bit to settle down, but once he did he was perfect. Kris brought me a beautiful Ohio Star block. Unfortunately, I didn't think to take photos.
Yes, Linda, I saw the photo. Such a great picture of her when she was young. I love looking at those BW photos.
We are all in shock, Wilma. Her son Jim had a lovely photo of her when she was young on Facebook yesterday. I told him how much we were all going to miss her here on MQP.
I worked on my blocks today (the Christmas card blocks). Finished 4. Hope tomorrow to work in the Crazy Quilt block. Then I have those log cabins…I think I will try to chain them since 3 have the same set up. Maybe I can finish before we head to CA on Saturday. All the while I was thinking about Liz. Am still in shock.
Kris, I'll try to find time to email everyone all the addresses. Thank you for reminding me.
