Christmas Card - October - Kathy - String blocks

Started by Kathy Gurgone. Last reply by Beth A. North Jan 3. 8 Replies

Well ladies, I guess I better add my name to this list before I forget.  I would like a 12.5 x 12.5" scrappy string block.  Recently, I have really gotten in the scrappy string block mood.  I love…Continue

Lee would like crazy blocks.  12.5 x 12.5"  Red, Whites, and Blues, of course.  I know that Lee likes live theater, so I was thinking maybe blocks that represented a different Broadway play.  Even…Continue

I'm happy to ship whenever.  January 4th sounds like a good one. I like going to the post office on Tuesdays.  It seems to be the least busy day.

That sounds good to me.  This year has just gotten away from me.  I can't believe how close it is to Christmas, and how unprepared I am this year.  I use to try and get all of my Christmas shopping done before Labor Day so that I didn't have to stress out about it during the holidays.

I have my SS box ready to ship now as of yesterday! They will probably keep the rate hike in force after the first of the year, but this way I can pack my SS box and not worry about finding it in time to ship. I'll pack it with my clothes so I'm sure to find it...LOL!! How does shipping Tuesday, January 4th sound to everyone?

I’m ok with that decision if that’s what we are going to do. I’ve certainly been slow at getting things made and organized. Starting the new year with a surprise package might just be an extra level of fun

Since the USPS is raising the cost of sending packages from October until the end of December, how does everyone feel about sending out our packages the first week of January?  That will also give everyone a chance to catch up.

Glad to know i am not the only one who is behind on my quilting. Our kitchen remodeling has expanded to 2 bathrooms as well. Can not believe how much time I have spent on this remodeling project. Started ordering things about 3 weeks ago and as of today everything is ordered except the kitchen appliances. It is taking forever to get things. Hopefully the contractor can start in about 4 or 5 weeks. Hope every one is well.

Good luck Linda in selling your house. 14 years ago we sold the house we had lived in for years and moved about 150 miles to be closer to our family. It was one of the best things we have ever done.

Wilma good luck with you move.

Like Linda, I may not get all mine finished until after the holidays.  We brought a truckload (Ford Expedition size) to SIL in NC.  Went and checked progress of new home….phase 1a is being worked…we are phase 2a, but there are only 146 homes in this 55+ community.  We brought 4 of my machines this go round.  The embroidery and my other sewing machine will be part of final move.  Will try to pull a bunch of RWB materials together and maybe work on a few items when we return (flying back today).

Congratulations to Juan.  Hope you took some pictures.

Linda hope all goes well with sale and move.  We had our buyers back out day before their earnest money deposit became non refundable.  Hope soon will get another offer.  New home isn’t ready til fall 2022 (estimate).  Will stay with SIL once house sells.

You're doing great, Colleen!

I probably won't get all mine done until after the holidays. My house is going on the market and it looks like I'll be relocating to be closer to family in CA. More later when there is more known. In early stages at this point.
