Finally getting a moment to be on.  My kitchen is small, oak cupboards and earth tone gray countertops.  We really don't have a theme because hubby and I can't agree.  We have a nice wine rack up now.  We have lived here 14 years and still no theme.  Who knew.

My truck is pewter gray with a black interior.  Love my truck!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am just now reading this and seeing that you are displaying your 4 Seasons Minis in your kitchen, Kris. I'm so glad you like them!

Mel, it sounds like your kitchen is the same color as my bedroom. That paint was also called Sunshine and is a pale yellow.

I am enjoying seeing a glimpse of different people's homes.

It sounds like you and your husb. made the right choice to "fill your cup" with the son & DIL. That positive had to be a good thing to hang on to with the brother in such serious condition. Prayers for you and your family. I do hope you share your son's quilts when you get them done. That is so cool to hear about a man taking up the art.

Colleen, you are not the only one whose circle has become so small over the past couple years especially with this pandemic. Praying for your hubby's brother and the family. We're here for you whenever you need to vent. Sending you prayers, love, and hugs.

Thank you Linda and Kris. Today is my day. I’m going to listen to music & ( putz around) in my room. I’m not going to stress over it, will be happy with the time spent and music— decompress

We were able to spend some time ( short but oh so sweet- appreciated and needed) with my oldest son & daughter in law- dinner Friday and breakfast Saturday- we hadn’t had any time together in over 2 years- we drove 5 hours south, they drove  6 hours north- my son brought me a box of quilt tops he’s made- for me to quilt ( he started quilting when he lost his job 14 months ago and amazes me with how good he is)

it was so nice for that little 36 hour get away. We were about 2 hours into our leg of the journey when my husband received a ( dreaded but anticipated) call- his brother- in the hospital on a ventilator for 10 days so far had taken a turn for the worse- they were calling in the family. Jeff decided to not turn around- we would continue to our visit with the ( kids) he stayed in touch with siblings- so wonderful as our visit was there was still that cloud- we made it home yesterday afternoon and today Jeff has gone to the hospital again. He had spent most of Thursday there. Time s short. Thursday I had gone with him but could not go into the hospital- just waited outside on a bench for hours to be there for my hubby when he came out- today he felt I didn’t need to do that.

sorry for all that- my circle has become so small over this past couple years ....

Kris, that's because you have to drive so far to get anywhere here in Arizona! In Ohio everything is close. LOL Buy wherever you can get the best deal and where license plates are cheaper!

Colleen, praying things will get better soon. I'm with Kris...cleaning the sewing room counts. I still have days where that's all I can manage...even some days all I can manage is look at it. So hang in there!

Coleen, hang in there!!  Even if all you do is straighten up the sewing room it counts. Hope things will start going better for you soon.

My Ohio car is gunmetal grey.  My Arizona car is faded silver.  But I'm trying to figure out a good way to swap the two.  I know the Ohio car will make it to Arizona, but I'm a bit leery about driving the Arizona car that many miles back to Ohio.  It makes sense to swap them because the current Ohio car is newer with fewer miles, and I drive a LOT more in Arizona than I do in Ohio.  I'll keep pondering, figure out something.
