I guess that I need to catch up also.  We are in the process of rearranging our house and the dining room will be in the current living area, which will be moved to the current dinning/junk room.  I'll post pictures when I'm done.  My kitchen walls are pale, pale yellow or cream (called liquid sunshine), cabinets are light oak and I change towels, etc. with the seasons.  I do have some appliance covers I made with leftovers from the Alice in Wonderland fabrics - they are pink, red, turquoise - strawberries, hearts and flowers.

Well, I am catching up.  Here is my kitchen.  We redid the counters this year in lieu of a vacation.  Like how it has brightened up the room.  Replaced all the appliances, except oven.  We have been here 14 years so things were starting to age (like me).  Waiting for the reddish wall to be repainted in a lighter cinnamon color...nice accent.  We have a 48” roughed table.  Love placemats, napkins.  We have more than enough potholders/trivets.  Use my bowl cozies all the time, especially for soup.

Ladies, the scavenger hunts have started.  I have listed May a little early so that everyone has a chance to get started on this new adventure.  Hopefully everyone has given us hints about their kitchens already, so that you will know what to look for when hunting for things to match your sister's kitchen.  Each month I will be listing something new to fill your boxes with, if you have any special requests or suggestions, please let me know.

We are in the beginning stage of picking out new counter top, flooring, lights and back splash for our kitchen . So far we have picked out the counter top. Will try to attach a picture but the picture does not look as nice as the real thing. In 55 years of marriage this will be the 3rd kitchen we have remodeled. The 1st 2 were total room renovations. I do not have a theme as most of the walls have cupboards or appliances on them.Think we will paint what wall space we have a cream color as the counter is dark. I use tablecloths or placemats  and clothe napkins everyday - some are many years old.Can always use new dish towels as mine are getting thin.

Sorry the picture is sideways- I didn’t take it sideways.

My cupboards all go to the ceiling- I always wished for ones you could put stuff above.

Love the table runner Linda! I always love braided runners, and the back is wonderful too

Oh, I also love/ use table cloths on my 40” round table. We like placemats when I don’t put a table cloth on. I don’t really think about having a ( style) in the kitchen. There is only one wall which has a trio of paintings Jeff’s sister painted for us- they are landscape- fence line, lilacs. There is no other wall space- just cupboards, window and pantry door.

Our kitchen is an ok size, but shaped ( different and not much wall space. The walls are a pale yellow. We have a small (40”) round table that sits in the middle of the room with 2 chairs . I can almost reach the refrigerator on one side & sink/ counter on the other side when sitting at the table. The only things I ever ( wish/ hope for) kitchen related are pot holders, dish towels, we do use linen napkins and ours are definitely getting old & thin- not necessarily linen, but fabric napkins.

Ginny, I also don't have as much counter space as I had in Ohio. And the cupboards aren't as deep so they don't hold as much.
