Scavenger Hunt - September - Plastic bag storage

Started by Kathy Gurgone Sep 10. 0 Replies

Plastic bags seem to multiply like rabbits.  Even when you use reusable shopping bags they seem to sneak in and multiply.  This month we are going to help our sisters out with that problem by making…Continue

Scavenger Hunt - August - Essential Gadget

Started by Kathy Gurgone Aug 4. 0 Replies

We all have that one gadget that we just can't seem to live without.  Actually, I have several, and many of them I received as hostess gifts many years ago from Tupperware.  LOL.  My egg separator…Continue

Scavenger Hunt - July - Spice

This month I would like if everyone would pick out their favorite unusual spice to share with their Secret Santa sister.  But because, she may not have heard of that spice before, you need to include…Continue

Well ladies, I guess I better add my name to this list before I forget.  I would like a 12.5 x 12.5" scrappy string block.  Recently, I have really gotten in the scrappy string block mood.  I love…Continue

Glad to know i am not the only one who is behind on my quilting. Our kitchen remodeling has expanded to 2 bathrooms as well. Can not believe how much time I have spent on this remodeling project. Started ordering things about 3 weeks ago and as of today everything is ordered except the kitchen appliances. It is taking forever to get things. Hopefully the contractor can start in about 4 or 5 weeks. Hope every one is well.

Good luck Linda in selling your house. 14 years ago we sold the house we had lived in for years and moved about 150 miles to be closer to our family. It was one of the best things we have ever done.

Wilma good luck with you move.

Like Linda, I may not get all mine finished until after the holidays.  We brought a truckload (Ford Expedition size) to SIL in NC.  Went and checked progress of new home….phase 1a is being worked…we are phase 2a, but there are only 146 homes in this 55+ community.  We brought 4 of my machines this go round.  The embroidery and my other sewing machine will be part of final move.  Will try to pull a bunch of RWB materials together and maybe work on a few items when we return (flying back today).

Congratulations to Juan.  Hope you took some pictures.

Linda hope all goes well with sale and move.  We had our buyers back out day before their earnest money deposit became non refundable.  Hope soon will get another offer.  New home isn’t ready til fall 2022 (estimate).  Will stay with SIL once house sells.

You're doing great, Colleen!

I probably won't get all mine done until after the holidays. My house is going on the market and it looks like I'll be relocating to be closer to family in CA. More later when there is more known. In early stages at this point.

Good for you Colleen! I definitely need to get more of them done. I don't even remember how many I've done.

I’m hoping to finish the other 4 next week ( this week I’m working way too much- ) then I’m going to make a couple journal covers and look to see what else I’ve missed. I can’t believe October is hitting this week- I’m still trying to figure out what happened to July. But, at least I’m managing to get a few things done.

I’ve managed to get a few of my Christmas Card blocks finished. I think I have 4 to go.

Hello ladies, sorry I have not checked in for a while.  I have been on the road again, loving life.  I am so happy that Linda has gotten her little buddy, I know he will bring her many years of joy.  He is just too cute.

Speaking of our fur babies.  My little Juan won best dressed dog at the RV rally we went to.  He wore his cowboy outfit and hat.  I was really surprised that he didn't try to shake or chew it off.

Yea! Thank you Linda. I’ve had the same problems trying to make them without foundation- no matter how accurate I cut and sew, they always seem to ( skew) somewhere along the way.
