Got one more thing to put in the box.  Had fun making these.  Daughter spurred it on, she had to make a few for a birthday gift exchange party.  Thought would be a good idea for my secret pal.  One of each she gets and the other two go to my other secret pal in my guild.  Now to see what else I can "stuff" in the box.

Colleen, you certainly have had your hands full this year. I pray 2019 will be a better year for you. As well as all those suffering from bad health and those who experienced wildfires, hurricanes and other severe weather conditions this year. I appreciate everyone's participation in the Secret Santa group and hopefully we'll continue again next  year. Just 4 more weeks till shipping day!!! Ho! Ho! Ho!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Our first snow of the season came down during the night. We have about 2 or 3 inches and it's still coming down. I have a candle glowing in the house and a log in the fire. Just kidding!! I don't have a fireplace. But we are cozy inside today. Like Colleen I also have enjoyed being with this group. It's fun to fill the box. Thanks to Linda and Kathy for their faithful service to us and making it so fun.

I am so greatful for the opportunity to share & participate with this group each year. We never know what each year is going to ( throw at us) so many things unexpectedly happen in that 365 days each year.

Theres been good, great, surprising, sad, bad, traumatic events and with each new day another adventure. I didn’t accomplish all I hoped- life took on some unexpected turns, but I managed to put together a package I believe my recipient will enjoy and look forward to a new beginning- new chapter.

Machine is in the hospital, as it wouldn't sew on regular fabric either.  Had a house sitter a few weeks ago, who used it.  The back up machine is doing a great job!!

Thank you all for the advice.  I tried machine quilting this afternoon and all was going well until the last two colors.  The top thread began snarling on the the bottom of the quilt.  This seems familiar and probably the reason I gave up on machine quilting long ago.The machine has been cleaned and adjusted recently.  I rethreaded, re bobbined, blew compressed air, and fiddled with tension for a couple of hours.  Could try a different machine I guess.

Mary I would just send it with whatever it needs to get finnished. If I am your recipient, I would hang it up for the season and then I would probably finnish quilting it on my machine beginning 2019. I hear you on not being ready with family presents. Fortunately for me my recipients box is pretty much ready.
