Hello everyone & thank you.  Ginny, my hexies are 3/4" per side.  Riana, I'm loving those fun blocks you are making for your Granddaughter.  She will be so lucky to have a special quilt for her new bed.  I hope I don't miss seeing the finished quilt.  Sorry I have been absent from My Quilt Place lately.  I've been so busy with the kids this summer, and the next few days look packed, too.  I'm going to try to check in more.  I love my family, but I need my quilting friends for balance.  Love you all!

This is the start of my grandd's quilt. She is getting her great grandma's 4 poster double bed, so her little quilt l made when she was little won't fit. l'm targeting a 4 yr to 12 yr old's interests.Don't want her growing out of it too soon. Still have a lot of work figuring sashes/fills etc. And more fun blocks :

That is cool Jennifer.  Been working on a scrappy crazy star quilt.  Very slow, but trying to finish that ufo with scraps.

So pretty, Jennifer! How big are your hexies?

Jennifer, this quilt will be as lighthearted as the song ( Rainbow Connection).

Hello everyone!  Sorry I haven't been around much lately.  I've been super busy with my boys' summer vacation, plus we had a surprise stray Mama cat & kittens move in.  I wanted to share my latest hexagon quilt (still in progress).  This one is The Rainbow Connection.  And, just as I did with Aura, I'm challenging myself to only use fabrics from my scrap basket, truly a scrap quilt!  What have you all been working on?

More and more people are getting reacquainted with the possibilities of string piecing, Rogue. It is another way to expand our way of thinking with scraps and I love it!

Love your new scrappy top, Riana! It will be greatly appreciated at the vets hospital.

i'm accumulating quite a bookmark list of fun scrap oriented quilting blogs from the web :)). this is a link to an idea for piecing scrap strip then trimming to use in block construction. i've pieced my scraps for borders and inner border accents for years, but never thought of doing this before ...saw it and thought AWSOME!! :))
