thank you all!! my husband fell in love w these fabrics, so now i want to make a lap quilt for him, or a wall quilt ...somethin' :)). i held all the scraps used in blocks out, haven't put them away yet. he became rather a bit of a nuisance while making the blocks ..every night when he got home fr work he just had to see what fabric/color combinations i'd come up w that day lollol
...ergo ...it's time to make the boy a quilt. first one in my 32 yrs of quilting :))
I love this, Rogue! I was just thinking about you. Glad to see you here again! Hope that you are well.

It is beautiful Rogue. They will love it.
thanks riana ..pics all loaded ok ..but there was an imogi in this comment. deleltednit and it posted.
...now i know :))
this is a quilt top i recently completed. still need to trim the borders ...and get a ride to yakima to buy batt for it. i'll quilt it on my janome 1600pq ..simple outline of blocks as in original quilt i am copying. the original quilt was hand pieced & hand quilted. the setting blocks look to have a 'pumpkin' seed type motif done in them. haven't decided on border quilting yet - prob do my style of detailing the florals in the print. it was made between 1825-40, made for a four poster bed in cut-out style used in northeastern US in 1800's. the blocks are made w fabric scraps fr mil church quilt group + contents of three large boxes of "scraps" they sent me couple months ago. the setting blocks & border fabric is from my small stash of yardages bought at fabric depot in portland oregon over last few years during our little excursions for my birthday & christmas shopping --for me! i have beautiful heavy flannel i'll back it w that ddhubs picked out.
Rogue, the picture is too large for words to post with it. We need to resize to @ 230 - 300 pixels for there to be enough room to comment with photo. I find if l add an imogi in any comment, it simply won't load comment either.
have been trying for over an hour & description/story about quilt won't post? ~#%+=*^^!!!!!
beautiful quilt, riana ..was honored to be shown the finished quilt after you quilted it. you're such an amazing midarm machine quilter ...you can quilt my quilts any time!
