So great. Our sew day was snowed out. But I did get the fabrics washed, pressed , cut into squares so all we'll have to do is make the blocks etc.
What a great day you had Kathryn.
We had a great QOV Sewing Day yesterday. We finished enough blocks for three quilt tops, got half-way through quilting one, and cut out another. We had a visit from a veteran recipient, who took a few minutes to tell us what his quilt means to him and his children - and he and his wife stayed for lunch with us.
Hi All. It's been awhile since I've been here. This Saturday is QOV sewing day and our little group is going to try to get together and get at least one top done. Hope the weather allows. We usually meet once a week but winter has really cramped our style.
Hi. I have been making lap quilts for our VA Center in Asheville, NC for a few years now. Our soldiers are so excited when I come by with quilts. We need more quilters or guilt guilds to help out with this large demand in comfort of quilts. If you have never given a quilt, no matter the size, to a soldier.....do. You will be so blessed when you see their reaction. It gives them peace and they feel loved.

I just purchased a fons and porter patriotic quilts magazine. it had many quilts in it that fit the requirements set for QOV. I would like to make at least one.
