A place for quilters to share how they are covering the world with love one quilt at a time...

I've created this group at the suggestion of Rogue Quilter, who recently welcomed me back to this forum after some time away. (Thanks, RQ!) I share my love for quilting by participating in Quilts of Valor, quilts for NICU and Headstart, quilts for a local shelter for children in crisis, quilts for disaster relief, wherever I see a need and support the cause. I even save my scraps to stuff into crate comforters for the local no-kill animal shelter. It is my wish that other like-minded Quilters come together to share the ways in which they are spreading the love, one quilt at a time! Please join us!

Today our group at Water Oak celebrated 10th anniversary with an open house. It was well attended. Our friends & neigbours got to see a large showing of quilts, pillowcases, bears , and breast cancer cushions made by us to donate. 1288 baby quilts, 170 Honor Flight quilts and more to shelters donated to date. Proud to have become a member.

Thankyou, Susan. At home in Ontario Canada, l work on my own, making fundraisers for Humane Soc. , victims of flood/fire, Coats for Kids, and making lots of children's quilts for the Eastern Ont. children's hospital. During winter in Fla., our wonderful group at Water Oak makes quilts for local hospitals, Veteran's home, Honor Flight, and shelters. It is my absolute pleasure to quilt many of their creations using my midarm Bailey, and to teach fmq classes so more quilters can enjoy completing their creations.
