I love to do novelty quilts. I like the bright colors. I made 3 little boy quilts and 1 little girl quilt this spring. I haven't posted pictures of  all of them yet. Must get around to that. I am…Continue

I love novelty fabrics and and panels. I have made a few and have one in process now. I also have several horse fabrics still to make up. I have quite a few of embroidered pillow cases my Aunt made that I would love to make into a quilt some day too.

This group intrigues me!  I love novelty quilts but have only made two so far as they are extremely tedious and patience-trying.  The quilts I made were from ideas I had in my head using costumes for the base...  You can see them on my blog here: Fire Fighter's Blanket and The Holding Cell ...  I want to do more, but I keep procrastinating about it!

I'd really like to make a quilt from vintage hankies and doilies one of these days.

Hello everyone. Novelty quilts are my favorites to make. I have used many kinds of ideas, such as: panels that I design pieced borders; I prowl garage sales and good will stores for kid tee shirts, and do quilts with them; I get the panels that make books, and make pieced sashings for the quilt. I enjoy doing themed kids quilts like animals, bugs, birds, etc.

I found charm squares of novelty prints at Keepsake Quilting - pretty reasonable too.

I want to make an I spy quilt but I do not have a lot of novelty prints.  Can anyone tell me where I can get FQ or maybe even charm packs of novelty prints?  Asking before I go toooo crazy looking for something.  Thanks for you help.

I just added photos of a couple of novelty quilts I made this past year.  One was a baby quilt made out of tons of fun children's fabrics, the other was a raffle quilt I made out of the Fun with D*** and Jane fabrics.
