Rebecca, I love this quilt and the quilting.
Rebecca - I love that quilt. It has such wonderful visual impact.
I've been busy for months working on 3 quilts that I'm entering in our guild's quilt show this September. I'm also in charge of publicity for the quilt show. There are about 150 members in the guild and most members are entering at least 1 quilt. Posting a photo of the one for the small scrap quilt category.
Hello! Yep, I haven't had much time at all for quilting. Just running around with the kids. As much as I love them, I need a little balance, too! Trail Mix is one of three kittens currently in our home. Her mama, a stray, showed up pregnant on our back porch and never left. She brought them into our house when they were 1 week old. I put them back outside. She brought them back in, and I decided to see what happened from there. There were 4 kittens. One has been adopted, one is pending, and we're keeping Trail Mix, and the mother. She's been spayed, so no more kittens!
Susan, you sound super busy! How nice that you and your daughter are working together. My oldest son is also a senior this year. I'm also contemplating making him a graudation quilt, but not sure how I'll get it done. He is busy with band camp for the next two weeks. I'm planning on getting back to some serious sewing when school starts on August 29th. So nice to be back here, chatting with you all. I'm sorry I missed My Quilt Place for a while.
It has been very busy here at my house this summer too. I have have been makiing purses, shopping bags, etc, to sell along with my daughter who is making jewelry to sell. We have been raising money for her senior class trip to Germany next summer. We have spent a lot of time setting up at craft fairs selling, along with selling on etsy. As much as I am enjoying it, i can't wait to get back to my hand quilting. Made a wedding quilt for my son and his wife who got married in January. I am still quilting it. And my daughter is expecting a quilt for her high school graduation in May since both her older brothers each got one. lol Busy busy.
Jennifer, what a cute kittie. She looks very comfy.
I don't see the translator button, Rogue...where is it? Don't need to translate that tute, as pictures tell all, but she has other interesting-looking posts.
