Since I've set my Bailey15" into a home-built frame, I'm on a mission to make the most of my mid-arm. I've been following SewCal Gal's lessons on FMQ. and have put what I learned to good use with both my Janome 6500, and the Bailey on a sewing table. But now I'm on a new learning curve, starting at almost square one (or block one llol).

Whether it's short arm, longarm or in between,we can all learn from each other, and from great finds on the net. I'd like to have a list of tutorial sites in one place to save time when I'm looking for one. Or even sites that have inspiring ideas.

I found several to start with by going to you tube, and next to the "search " icon , I typed "longarm quilting for beginners".From loading a long arm to swirls quilting with Angela Walters (by APQS), I spent a great 1/2 hr. learning stuff I'd never known, even though I've been quilting a while on a machine.

i think this is such a great idea riana! kudos girl!! ....i wish there was a way to seperate them from general discusion tho, make them easier to find. i don't long arm, but i have learned a few things from tutes on web that help me w my domestic machine quilting. could you start a discussion box in the longarm group that is for links only? what do ya think? at any rate i will be watching to ck and see. videos are too much of a pain, even on my pc. i am being told by locals and local pc people that it is my provider. oh well ...nothing else available out here, so, it is what is.

this one will take you to tons of stuff. :)

wow carla...the pinterest link is awsome! here is a page of tutorial links for fmq, not specifically longarm. am in process of going thru. plan to post my favorites later, but thought while i wander and read, some of you might enjoy going thru and finding ones that best suit you.
