I purchased a babylock Elegeo Plus about 10 months ago and LOVE it. I am finding I am getting limited by the size of the hoop. Is anyone else experiencing this issue.

I use rayon thread. Florina is one of my brands and also use sulky. I also have use some polyester and I don't have any problems with shrinkage. It might be your stabilizer or how the tension is set. Also are really putting tight into your hoops? That is another thing I always check. Hope these works.
I am not sure which forum to post my question on... Hi my name is Darla. :)
What kind of thread do you use in machine embroidery?
I haven't found that I can incorporate embroidery in a quilt yet because it alway seems to shrink. I have have only used the rayon thread in my machine. Does rayon shrink? After I finish the stitching it looks great until I press or iron it with steam. I don't want to put it all in a quilt if it's not going to look good after a washing, so I wet it and iron it for a test. Any suggestions?
I have an embroidery project waiting for me to get tired of machine quilting for a while. I sent to Australia for the designs. I will post pictures when it is under way. Thanks Marian for starting this group.
Greetings! :)
Your peacock is beautiful Joanne. I have the Baby Lock Sophia. I din't have much money and want to be able to try embroidery as well as have a better machine than I had previously. I have wanted to and have practiced much but have never been happy enough to put design in a quilt.
Curious. Do you all use Rayon thread or Polyester? Thanks~
Beautiful Quilt Joanne. Is that an Embroidery library Design? Your colors are awesome!
Hi Linda. I also have done a lot of baby books with my embroidery machines. Just finish one for my niece who will be 1 next month. Will be making a few more for my granddaughter. I love how they come out. Also making a landscaping quilt with embroidery applique. This should be interesting.
I have a Viking Topaz (about a year now) and have thoroughly enjoyed embroidering and use it for quilting sometimes too.
Hi Joanne, glad to see another machine embroiderer/quilter among us. Post some pics of your quilts we all would love to see!
Hi. I have done a lot of machine embroidery and have a huge design library and three software programs. I have a 5 by 7 brother, sapphire viking and my favorite a babylock ellisimo. I have done a lot embroidery on quilts and also do a lot of little baby books for my granddaughter and nice. I also belong to a machine embroidery group and we buy designs and exchange a lot of ideas. I also have a lot of sites that I buy designs from. Thanks for letting me join.
