julia, sue and eileen.....where i live there aren't much in quilt shops. i live in bluffton, south carolina. the quilt is 69 by 81. called puss in the coner. i also just finished a just cann't cut it today. child size. it's not a huge deal to have it shipped and quilted and shipped back. right now i'm on a roll. working on another one as well. will have it finished by tomorrow. my facebook is under my name with a pic. that says NKOTBSB! i have the puss in the corner in my pic. just the top of course. lol thanks for all the info. i'll look for what ever local quilt shop i can find. thank you all so much!!!

fellow longarm ladies.... I'm hoping for some inspiration from you.  I am going to be given a quilt to finish.  It is an Irish Chain in white and red.  Can any of you show me how you have finished an Irish Chain ?  I'd love to be inspired by what you have done.  I don't copy the work of others, I would like to see your ideas though.  Thank you.

Erika, Sue is correct, that is how I get a lot of my referrals.

Erika, your local quilt or fabric shop probably has a list of local quilters.  It might be worth asking before you decide to ship it.

Hi Erika,

I'm located in NY, and my website is www.designingquilts.com if you'd like to take a look at some of my work. My FB page is Eileen Keane of Designing Quilts and there are more pics of my work there. I charge .02/sq in for edge to edge patterns, my machine is computer assisted so I have thousands of designs to choose from. I'm currently accepting quilts for December and January.

Hi Erika, most longarmers charge by the square inch, I start at 1.5 cents a square inch and it goes up from there. I do have openings and have done other quilts for customers that were long distance. If you go on Facebook you can look up "Graceful Stitches" and see some of my quilts and I also have some of the pantographs I use that would be in the 1.5 price range. You can also find me on facebook under Julia Rockwell and find the link to my other page there. I am located in Wisconsin.
