Hi Rogue. I am not sure how to copy a link. The pattern is from Maggie's Crochet. She has a youtube video directions. I just did a search for crochet shell pattern and it popped up.

hi vickie! came in here to post a request for you to share the online link you found for your clamshell crochet afghan.
i haven't been in here for quite a while, but maybe we can get some interest going again. i have been looking @ crochet afghan book i got at estate sale recently, have a couple marked to do in future, i also subscribe to Interweave Press magazine Piecework, where i have found a scarf pattern i want to try this winter. Also ---somewhere recently i saw patterns for crochet socks, i do 't remember whether childrens or adults ..if you are still i terested, i'll check my fav yarn haunts on line and see if i can find it again ..or another one.

i think i am missing my fascination w all things yarn created before i learned to quilt. :)) ..and dear darlin' fil has sent me all his ailing wife's yarn! she was an incredible knitter, and she crocheted. she taught me double sided knitting. i miss sitting w her and learning from her.

We recently visited our grandsons and family.  The youngest asked me to crochet him some socks.  Never done socks.  Is there a book for crochet socks for children with basic instructions?  Any help is appreciated.

Well another one bites the dust too today and sent also to it's new home.  Some how I don't think its as great as the first but here goes nothing Julie! Plus alittle close up.

Now Slyvia  I have got the magazine with the whole pattern if I copy the pattern for you I will be breaching copyright! Not happy with doing this.  As the magazine is no longer available to newagents here in Adelaide Australia.   I will try and write to the magazine owners to see if they will authorize me sending you the pattern, however I should warn you that may take some time. Also you should be aware the is an imperial (english/british pattern) not USA hence the stitiches are different.  Plus you need to get some DMC Cebelia thread 30 weight and a No 1 hook imperial measurement (again /british/english sizing) different sizing in USA.  I could help you with any tension problems if you need it.  It is an advance pattern.  If your game and want to give it a try once okayed by company I will try to contact you at your email..  I am happy for you to send me a friend contact at my quilt place so I can email should you need help with the pattern. Julie
