When I saw this group, I simply could not resist joining it! How nice to be among friends from "back home!"
Although born in Gallipolis, Ohio (across the river from Point Pleasant, WV), I grew up in Taylor Mill, Kentucky, south of Covington in Kenton County. Two suburban blocks away from me lived Donna Salyers, now of Fabulous Fur fame. We both went to Dixie Heights High School in Edgewood, Kentucky, on the way to the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky International Airport. What a small world this is!!
Now, I live in Kenya, in East Africa. I've lived here since August of 1990, so 24 years. I came to Kenya to teach at an upcountry university, met someone special, and the rest is history! Living in a remote part of the country, my DSO was worried I would become bored. Silly man! Instead, I took up quilting and have had the career of my life ever since!!!
It's a great pleasure to meet all of you and I thank you for making me feel welcome amongst you!Dena - in Kenya, where the refrigerator just broke down for the third time in a week!http://denacrain.comhttp://quiltedonline.comhttp://saqa.com

Welcome Debbie! I retired this summer, so I'm doing a lot of creative work, too. ;-)
