Inspiring Quilters, Stitch by Stitch
I am working on a "Keyhole" jelly roll quilt, it is fast and easy, I find most of these quilts mindless, which is good. Most of my day is spent in front of a computer, when I get home I want to look at color and my sewing machine. I think the 1/4" foot is a must and I don't understand why quilters don't want to invest in it?

Well, I wound up not using Spirit for this quilt. I used black/white, white, and pops of red. The top is done along with several others but I have not had an opportunity to take photos yet. Haven't decided how to use my Spirit fabric. I also have a "Breath of Avignon" jelly roll that I am going to use in a variation of the keyhole pattern. There are 4 Keyholes surrounding a solid square. The blocks are large (16") so I am going to have to play with the final layout, borders, sashing, etc... But I think the combination of the red, yellow and blue will make a stunning quilt.
I guess I did this wrong, but here is my latest Jelly Roll quilt, I gave a s a wedding gift to my son and daughter in law, I have no idea what the jelly roll name was, I picked it because I like the colors. They said they wanted a blue quilt, well, I don't like blue, so they got this colorful quilt with some blue and blue borders, I was okay with that! machine pieced and machine quilted. I bought the jelly roll at Chester County Quilting in Phoenixville, PA.
Teresa, I think its beautiful. Is it a king size?

Teresa, your Jelly Roll quilt is gorgeous! Fantastic job!
Here is a picture of my first Jelly Roll quilt... I made the quilt through the Quilter's Club of America MQ #6: Bittersweet.
I used a Moda Jelly Roll from the Fat Quarter Shop for the quilt top design, and other fabric from my stash for the background, border and back of quilt. I just have to bind it and it will be complete!
