trying something new this year. Cucumbers climb up sunny side, lettuce grows beneath in shade to keep it from bolting during hot spells.

Oh my! Who says there isn't climate change is nuts! We had our first monsoon storm today. A lot of thunder, wind, and rain...a rather mild one compared to some I've seen. Monsoons don't normally start until later in June.

just over 2 weeks ago, we had a coldfront deliver snow for Mother's day.Now it's the end of May, and some freekishly cold nights near freezing are coming! So to keep my tomato plants from getting damaged, l'm putting them to bed under tarps.

lt's been a great year for lettuce in my garden. The tomatoes are smaller this year, but SO tasty. Cucumbers are climbing over the peppers...got to keep untwing them,lol.

We have 3 types of hydrangeas in our gardens...these are currently the ones in full bloom.

Very pretty Riana, I have morning glories but I'm afraid of them. Lol pull most of them up because they grow prolific here and will take over. They are growing in my Mexican Petunias and they will cover them up if I let them. They are pretty though and they are a good way to attract lady bugs to your garden to fight off aphids.

Thiese are my flox and morning glories. In spite of our drought, they've been doing well with 2 x week watering. Those salmon flox never bloomed before...had them 4 or 5 yr. I threatened to throw the plant over the fence if it didn't bloom this year,lol. Guess l scared it :-))
