Carol, I have used the clips that look just like hair clips for a long time instead of pins...I bought a big package of them and they are great...I too hate getting stuck with pins when hand stitching the binding down...and I use the longer sharp pins for quilting so it's easy to get stuck... These look like an oblong triangle and it's like spring metal...kinda curved... I've seen the new clips...they are nice too~~~
The latest tool that I really love is the Clover clips you use to hold quilt binding in place (in lieu of pins). My reason? I don't get stuck with pins!! And they do a bang up job as well.
Nancy - I don't think any dealers have it yet, and if you google cutting rulers it doesn't come up on any sites. I think you would have to order it from the business in Oregon. They may appear at quilt shows - there is one in Mesa, AZ in Jan. that I am going to go to so I can get help in learning how to use my new Martelli cutter - I have ganglion cysts in both wrists and cutting the traditional way inflames them. This new ruler didn't bother my wrists yesterday. That is a blessing of itself.
BA .. wrong .. I tried it in my album. OK .. go to your 'album' of quilt photos. Select the incorrect photo so that it is full size on your screen. Above your photo is a eetsy bitsy box 'options' .. click and drop down menu has option of 'delete' .. there ya go !

BA .. go to your album, select the photo .. it will have a frame around it .. hit delete ! let me know if that worked ..
I need help, I just posted the wrong photo in my 'photos' & can't find how to delete it, any suggestions?????
Who actually has one? And how do they like it?
Denna Davis 12*29*12 @6:20pm, Thanks so much for your thoughts., I too have looked at the website for the ruler & it looks like it would do a great job, I will add this to my 'wish' list. As hard as one presses when cutting, the ruler still slips, this sure looks like it will solve that problem; at least according to the video.
BA -- I am truly sorry for your 2012 .. may your 2013 be a year of renewal, strength, faith and much love ..
I'm pulling myself in lots of different directions right now -- clearing off table first, Christmas away, hubby going to OK tomorrow (he's been home for another 6 straight days!), and will be on my own again.
And I'll just have to go have a look at that ruler :D Might be a good 'notion' for sister-in-law for an event for this year .....
