That is very pretty B.  I love scenes like that.  I did a hummingbird on one of my blocks.  I did a pond scene on a coaster that I sent to one of my friends.  It is so gorgeous when it is done.  Thanks for sharing.

Sorry the notations didn't print through!  It's a shame they don't would save a lot of time.  1st pic. is of yoke back (unfinished, need to put turtle on rock in middle or several lily pads with flowers).  2nd. pic. is left side of shirt, 3rd. pic. is front pocket, ivory bird in upper right corner, lady bug below bent stem, pebbles below the clump of flowers. of the cuff detail, 5th pic. is of catails (I didn't like & redid in circles), 6th. pic. right side of yoke.

I would love to see your pics of your ribbon embroidery.  I have done it on tea coasters, crazy quilt blocks but not on clothing.  Let me know when you post.

Hi Donna, I have been doing silk ribbon embroidery for years, don't follow any pattern, but make it up as I go along.  I am trying to organize my photos so I can get to them more quickly, so I can post them.  I have started decorating a shirt yoke back in the following photos (if I can find them),  It shows a white crane on each side with cat tales, water circles & in the middle will be either a turtle on a rock or several lily pads with flowers.

Hi BA Johnson.  You are a woman who talks my language.  I absolutely love silk ribbon embroidery.  I have done three crazy quilt blocks and they have silk ribbon embroidery on them.  I would take it over machine embroidery any day.  It is so delicate.  I love the look.  Cheers and have a wonderful Christmas.  See you in the new year.Welcome to the group.
