Twister batik quiltThis is a batik Twister quilt i made for a baby. They wanted Teal, purple and brown. I made up the pattern - kind of like Around the World. It has minky on the back. Sorry the picture is so small. You can view it full size on my home page. Doesn't really look like a baby quilt, but it is large enough she can use it as a todler.

This is a Twister quilt I made using Moda Kansas Troubles fabrics. It is just a scrappy layout. I used the pieces left between each block after cutting for the borders. You can see a larger view on my home page. Don't know how to make it larger here. This is a lap size quilt.

Nice Robin! Thanks for posting these.

Really super "twister" quilts. Are the fun to make? I am considering doing the "twist". LOL
It is fun to watch them transform. But, it is almost like making two quilts. First sew all the squares together then cut them up and sew them back together. I used a larker blick size on the baby quilt so it went much quicker. The scrappy Kansas Troubles started out with 5" squares and were cut down to 3 1/2". That was a lot of cutting since it was a larger quilt. But still fun.

Well this would be a great technique for the 5" after looking at the process and the tutorials. Hum!

I might try a little one just to say I did it.

I just ordered the tool so we'll see. I sure have plenty charms now!

Think I will have to make one too. First I need to finish a Quilt of Valor, a Gordian Knot, a mystery quilt , a row robin quilt, and of course, a jewel box. So little time and so much quilting. ;-)

Way to go! We want to see pictures of your quilts so ......................

Oh, I forgot! Add to the list a Blooming 9 Patch that I just bought fabric for. Maybe the year 2015 for the twister.
I feel your pain ethelda! Lol.

I have everything for the witches hat.  I can't wait to start it.  But I need to start packing up boxes for my move.  Ugh!
