poem from www.quiltvisionusa.com
She Learned to Quilt on
MONDAY.
Her stitches all were fine
She forgot to make us dinner
So we all went out to dine
She quilted miniatures on
TUESDAY
She says they are a must
They really were quite lovely
But she forgot to dust
On
WEDNESDAY
it was a sampler
She says that stipplings fun
What Highlights What Shadows!
But The LAUNDRY wasn’t done
Nine Patches were on
Thursday
Green, Yellow, Blue and red.
I guess she really was engrossed
She never made the Bed.
It was wall hangings on
Friday.
In colors she adores
It never bothered her at all
That crumbs were on the floor
I found a maid on
SATURDAY
My week is now complete
My wife can quilt the hours away
The house will still be neat
Well, now it’s only
SUNDAY
I think I’m about to wilt
I cursed, I raved ,I ranted
Cause
the Maid has learned to QUILT !

Well now, this snowbird will be heading home in about 3 weeks. Wrapping up my Fla. projects, and looking to get reaquainted with my newest machine. I understand the weather will be too cold for the garden yet.
Boy there's some GREAT helps here in the files ( to the right of the openning poem) .l love the " tutorial" links. Check them out!
The pattern is by Sindy Rodenmayer, Irmgard. Sold by Fatcat on Etsy. But there was a link for it free on Pinterest...l just couldn't it to load.
Thank you, Riana, and happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. Yes, we have to be thankful for a lot of things here in Canada, - best place in the world.
And that turkey is lovely. Is there a pattern?

This is a link to the Canada 150 yr birthday logo...a paper piecing pattern.
There's a fb group called ''Canadian Quilters '',extremely active with members from BC to NFL posting photos & shopping tips constantly...l guess a lot of members from here must've migrated over.
Good idea, with the shortcut.
There doesn't seem to be a lot of activity in this group, I think most people are just overloaded with blogs, email updates, etc. But it would be nice to hear from fellow Canadians more often.
l think we need more members...any Canadians out there want to join us?!
l've turned off my email notifications, Irmgard. lnstead , l just keep the home page of MQP as shortcut on my tablet and check in when l feel like it. That way l don't miss posts of photos by any member, status entries, or conversation in various groups.
