Seems everyone has been quite busy for the summer months. No posts in here since April. I hope to get caught up on my BOM's this month. Look forward to seeing more people post and inspiring me to motivate.

Here is my April block. Thank you for the wonderful comments on my blocks. I don't get on the computer much because of lack of time. I work 10 hour shifts and have a hubby and home to take care of. And 12 Grandkids that I keep up with. But I like to post my blocks to inspire others.

Hello Deb Mitch and Girls,

Indeed it has been a long time since I've chatted here!  But I got an update from AQS that there was activity here and thought that I would check it out.

Low and behold I saw your lovely block Deb. I really love the colours of this block and it's design.I think it will be beautiful when finished and good on you for going organic too.

A while back one of my local stores was getting in organic fabrics and despite the extra cost the quality was great and I loved them. Then they stopped getting them in and went for a cheaper line of quilters muslin it's quality was really terrible!!!!!!

So much so that I never purchased any of it as it didn't meet my standard.  My neighbour buys it on a regular basis and I have had a closer inspection of it frays very easily, is so thin that it doesn't fit well with regular good quality quilters fabrics.

By the way Deb Mitch, I have asked you to be a friend as I would like to see your quilt when finished also you can take a look at my projects.I haven't put up any recent photo's as I haven't been coming here as often but I have decided to turn that around and start chatting with people again.

Both Deanna and I Skype on a regular basis. Getting our timing was interesting.  You see I'm night owl, in other words can be up all night sometimes and don't get up until lunchtime sometimes.  Also the other important reason is that I live in Adelaide, South Australia. Basically I'm an Aussie and do not profess to know much about the United States but willing to learn! I have been having some fun learning where people live when honoured to do so.  As Deanna will let you know I am a trust worthy person.

Here is a little info about me for you. I am single female soon to be 54 and really don't look my age. My name is exactly what you read as.  Basically I live alone except "Oscar my cat" and due to my circumstances no longer have any family or friends that live where I live. I do not worked due to medical disabilities.  The end result is that I do get lonely at times and can talk a lot due to my loneliness.

I use to visit and quilt with my neighbour but she has chosen to do other things this year. She was also my teacher for quilting so I now learn through the Internet.

I tried to join a number of quilter's groups and despite all my efforts hasn't turned out as good as I wanted. Now I just sew alone at home and even that can get boring at times. So when I talk with Deanna it can be about anything but mostly about our quilting as Deanna is a great teacher.

Debra and Deb, this is also an offer to you too consider chatting on Skype!  There's no hidden agenda's just friendship and quilting.  If you like to consider it all it involves is having a webcam and it doesn't have to be expensive one and setting up an account with Skype is free.  Once you've done that and would like to Skype with me then let me know and I can then give you my email details.  Also it's okay if you also don't want to Skype we can continue to chat via My Quilt Place.

Well I'm off to do some embroidery today.  I am now putting the colour on a traced linen table cloth that I was given some time ago if interested I will post a picture of it when finished.  Hope to chat to you all again until then.  Happy Quilting Julie Beard.

Deb -- this is going to be a nice Christmas theme. I hope it's for you and not a give-away (my biggest problem)  hahahaha

Here is my March block. Going to be fun quilting the negative green space on this. I am also changing over to 100% organic materials.. This quilt tho will be a mix of both because I am using up what I have first.
