On the 23rd of Sept. I posted my fabric for my new big boy grandson's quilt ~~ here it is ~~ been sewing for 2 weeks straight ..
Am stitching sails / flags down before I sew the blocks together in rows. This quilt is done in vertical rows .. it has been very sew intensive to say the least !
(Sorry, I haven't yet figured out how to combine images and comments.) This baby quilt was made for the new baby boy of a good friend of mine. I fell in love with the hot air balloon fabric, then couldn't bear to cut it up for blocks! So I added a pieced border instead. Dean loved it and couldn't stop staring at the bright colors! *grin*
Ruth,
I love your wild kitty quilt! I have granddaughters who would love it too!
Very nice Ruth ...
We're having a new g-daughter in January, so will do a new one for her .. and making the big boy bed quilt for grandson ..
Here's my plan .. of course, I must do this while completing my UFOs too .. just stick in it between .. hahaha Funny how when I get the fabric for a NEW quilt, I just have to START now .. this one has a deadline !
My grandson is absolutely precious to me. He loves my quilts and enjoys looking through my novelty fabrics. I've made him a quilt and multiple pillows for his room, plus little drawstring bags for crayons, carry caddies for art supplies, etc. In fact, I believe he loves my quilts more than anyone else in the family. When we made our wills out last year, I left him all my quilts. He's only 8 now, but I know that if he inherits them, they will be treasured.
