So sorry for what you are going through, Beth. Prayers for a speedy recovery and direction about the job. Blessings to you.

Hello everyone.  Long time no chatter from me.  This will be a real quick note, have to get back to work.

Recovering from latest back injury and the foot is healing.  I am finally able to put pressure on it.  I have to wear the boot to do so and still use the crutches a bit.  No long walks without walking aids though.  I can live with that.  The back is healing slowly.  Was a dark time the last three weeks.  It has been so much of a struggle.  My job is not much fun either.  I have been so close to quitting.  I don't care who you are, especially a boss, you have no right to raise your voice and be accusing.  Well enough said.  I have been searching carefully for fabrics for my snowman.  Found a backing that will work, now to get a block sewn up to see how I like it.  Sewing has been slow.  I did actually cut up four quilts on Sunday, not that I needed more.  I have to start on customer quilts now that I can stand on my foot some.  Back to work.

I think Gayle has a good idea with that method. I would take out the quilting stitches, applique a patch as close as you can in color, then quilt it again to secure and help it to blend in. I have done a similar patch/quilt in a quilt of mine.

Beth, can you pull the edges of hole together with fusible bonding underneath?  the use like color fabric and stitch in place following the quilting lines? Sort of applique a patch over it?
