This is a modification of a recipe I found on Allrecipes.com for a sweet corn bread .. gotta make it sourdough ~~
1 c all purpose flour
1 c cornmeal
1/4 c sugar
1/2 t baking soda
1/2 t salt
1 egg, lightly beaten
1/2 c sour cream
1/4 c milk
1/4 c butter, melted
1 c sourdough
Preheat oven to 400 degrees, lightly grease an 8" baking dish.
Combine flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking soda, and salt in large bowl.
In small bowl, combine sourdough, egg, sour cream, milk and butter. Fold egg miksture into flour miksture until just moistened pour into prepared baking dish.
Bake 20-25 min until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Serve warm ~~
*If no sourdough, increase sour cream to 1c, milk to 1/3 c, and add 1/2 t baking powder.
