Let’s do a block to “remember” this interesting period of time in our lives.  A neighborhood filled with trees and houses in memory of our lockdown.  We would use permanent ink or embroidery to label your house with your name and state (also city if you like).

Use the FatCatPattern “Backyard Friends” ... all patterns on sale at their website 30% off with coupon code TEXAS til June 1.  Or use any Applique house / tree pattern that is 6-1/2w x 9-1/2h or 13w x 9-1/2h.  We will use a light background, but use your scraps for the trees or house.
The picture below is a finished quilt using this pattern.

UPDATED INFORMATION... Any light background color (white, cream, tone-on-tone, light blue), add windows, doors, hearts, etc. and any style house you desire (applique, embroidered or paper pieced), just stick to either of above sizes, please add extra 1/4” around to allow for true-up by quilter.

Here are links from the I Spy Swap meant for this swap.

What about going with white and/or white on white?  Would that work for you , Gayle?  Or do you need the freedom to use other fabrics?  I am with Wilma, I hope you will join us.  I can think of a lot of swapping friends I miss that I wish we could attract.

Thank you for wanting to include me , I think it is best if I just sit back and "watch" on this one.

Those are so adorable it almost makes me wish I had a machine to use them, Beth.

I have updated the due date and criteria for this swap.  Hope we find more people to join in.  This would be a great memory quilt for us to remember each other as time flits by....my husband said recently...”I remember when I wanted to turn 21 as the whole world was waiting for me, now I probably have 21 years or less left”.....I came close to decking him.

I am in - do all the houses sent in have to be the same or can they be different?

Oh great to have you.  Nope you just need to do as many as are swapping.  If you want to do them all the same ok...if someone prefers a particular color, okay too.

I’m so excited.  Guess we have to wait till  the final instructions.  My name is misspelled, don’t know how that happened, will try and see what is wrong.

Me, too.

I am getting excited.  I think tomorrow I may make a couple samples and post them.

I have updated the criteria.  Please look it over and let me know if you need more info or clarification.
