Patchwork Christmas in July block swap.  Patchwork or paper piecing, no applique or embroidery involved except for decoration purposes.   You choose the pattern you want to use, just make sure the fabric is Christmas prints. Blocks will need to be mailed to me by July 1st.

Each participant will need to make 12 blocks.  The blocks need to be 12 1/2" x 12 1/2".   Keep one for yourself and mail the others to me with a self addressed stamped envelope to receive your return blocks.  There is no limit to the number of participants as long as you get your blocks to me by July 1st.

Thanks to everyone who participated.

Everything has been mailed and you should all receive your packages on Thursday according to the Post Office.  Thanks again to everyone who participated.

My blocks arrived safe and sound.  I even had to go to the quilt shop for something, so bought a yard of black/gold Christmas fabric for small to think of a plan.  I love them all and this will make a beautiful bed runner fir my king bed, as I do believe that is what I will make.

Oh good, thanks Kathy.  I pulled out my tea cups and thought I would play with them LOL....I need to catch up.

Oh, Ladies, I got my beautiful blocks today!  I love every one of them, 'specially the redbird. Thank you to all who shared their talent with me.

I received 14 blocks, which is more than I sent.  Should I have that many?  If someone comes up short, I will be glad to share.

Thanks to our hostess for doing such a great job so that all of us got to enjoy this swap.  All of your time and work is so much appreciated.

With a few exceptions, it looks like everyone has received their blocks.  Let me know if you didn't get yours.  I was a little off in the math on how many blocks everyone would get, so I tried to divy up the extras the best I could.  Thanks for joining this swap, I really enjoyed it.

Kenya got hers today they are great and I assume I got mine too but since I'm at her house I'm not sure. Lol

Mine are here too! Thank you fellow swappers for all the beautiful blocks I received. A special thank you to our swap host Kathy for doing this swap.

I thought I responded to this last evening, but evidently I must have missed the send button. Thank You to everyone participating I am enjoying every block I received. I would also also like to send out a very big THANK YOU to Kathy -she by far tops all the hosts I've had in other swaps-I've never had my blocks returned that quickly. So I appreciate all the work all of you did and I'll get busy putting my blocks together!

Thanks everyone, it has been my pleasure.

I worked a little today.  Here is bed runner #1 for the king bed.  It is about 20” wide.  Will use a white comforter in winter with the runner.  I also took a couple of blocks and made it into a door quilt for my mom’s assisted living place.  Will post when it is finished.  Need to get backing for the runner and then quilt it.

Very attractive, Wilma.

Oh wow you have been busy. I love it!
