Who is your favorite designer and why?  I have been working on the Artic Star by Judy Niemeyer and found her directions to be superb, not only the sewing directions but the cutting, templates for just about everything.

I have a Judy Niemeyer pattern. I've skimmed it but not sure how I'll feel about it when I go to actually start. I have Cheryl Malkowski's book, Blocks to Diamonds and have done one project from it so far. I love the book, instructions & her method for strip cutting fabrics for pieces. Seems like less waste & quicker to get right into the fun part! But I have limited exposure to this technique as well.

Hi, I'm Linda, and I think my favorite designer & teacher is Carol Doak.  It might be because she is the first PP/FP author I read, but I find her classes & tutorials terrific.   I LOVE her latest book, "Creative Combinations".

I also like Judy Niemeyer.  I am working on the Pickle Dish right now, but have purchased the patterns for Amazon Star and The Feathered Goose for future projects.  I also want to do the Wedding Garden, but I think I have enough for now.  :-)

I have several of Carol Doaks books, and I have a couple from Liz Schwartz and Stephen Seifert. I really like the stained glass look. The rest are different authors. I try their methods, and then keep the parts I like.
