Birds remind us that Spring is almost here. Let’s do a 12” block that incorporates a Bird/Birds. It can be any bird you want, make all the same for as many as we have participating. Opening for 12 spots

You will make 12 - 12” bird blocks that will be sent to me on or before April 18. Send blocks with a return self addressed stamped envelope. I will message my address to those who don’t already have it. It must be constructed of quality fabric. It can be done in any method you desire. The background can be what fits with your bird - if you have a Cardinal in winter on a snowy tree branch or bird getting a worm on a spring grassy area. Just remember the bird is the focal point.

You must post your progress on this discussion page.

RULE: you must Post progress or you could loose your spot in the exchange. We have created a great group from our block exchanges in the past. Several have created some wonderful works of art. If you are having troubles you can message me or Carla and/or post on the page and one or several may be able to help let’s make this fun again!

Yayyyyyyy! Glad to see you Jean!

Hi, Carla!  Glad to see you and these other fine sewing sisters.  I'm going to do a flamingo, if that meets with everyone's approval.  Yeah, it doesn't sound like a spring bird, but I'm needing some bright color.

I am enjoying my Valentines quilt right now with all the beautiful hearts. :)

I was just getting ready to put it on the bed.

Sweet! I’ll put you in and a flamingo is perfect.

WOW we already have 7 that are joining in on our Birds block.

As I’m typing I have a visitor in my yard -a Robin! I haven’t seen a Robin this far south since 2005.

We have these wild small green parrots that visit my sunflowers each year i Might do that or an egret. I’m thinking of keeping with what are natives in S FL.

I look forward to seeing which you pick.

I will get on my desktop and fix the lines through our names when I can. Sorry

Are we going to use a common back ground? Put me down for a hummingbird please.

I have a turquoise that would be a great one for a flamingo, so my preference is we each pick a "habitat" for our birds.  But I am only one vote and I respect your preferences.

Oh that's a fantastic idea!!  I love it.
