Inspiring Quilters, Stitch by Stitch
My cutting skills are not where I want them to be. Some pieces cut perfectly and others - - driving me crazy!!! I am thinking of investing in Acuquilt. Read alot of reviews and they are all over the place. Would love to hear some feedback here. Everthing I have read and tried (for the most part) works and the advice is sound.
Thanks

I saw an acuquilt in action while working with a group at a Texas RV resort. The owner has another brand as well that cuts larger pieces. She loved the speed and accuracy. However, you still need to cut stips to feed into the cutter (so some waste), and you are limited to the sizes/shapes of the dies. Those can be expensive.I was impressed mostly by the "shapes" for applique Eg. bird, flower etc. I wouldn't buy one myself because I like the cutting both by scissor and rotary blade, but I'd never be able to cut a multitude of scallop-edged squares (for rag quilts) for example...so it depends on what you're making. I think you should lay some heavy hints to your family for Christmas:)
