Event Description

Quilt designs inspired more than 20 works of art in the exhibit by the Shenandoah Valley Chapter of the American Needlepoint Guild. This exceptional exhibit showcases the beauty, creativity, and meticulous nature of needlepoint.  Each piece in this exhibit has been created to look like tiny and incredibly detailed quilts.  The featured piece of this exhibit is a Sampler Quilt on canvas and has been stitched by 16 different guild members.  The Sampler Quilt is created from a 12-patch quilt design of traditional blocks. This very special piece will be donated to the Museumʼs permanent collection as part of the SVANGʼs Tenth Anniversary celebration.
