Stitching within the ancient walls of the medieval city of Carcassonne creates a truly special quilting experience. This retreat, with workshops led by our quilting expert, also visits beautiful Mirepoix and the textile museum at Lavelanet.
A wonderfully relaxing trip to historic Carcassonne in France’s sunny south-west corner to savour the amazing architecture and atmosphere of this World Heritage Site, enjoy the luxury of a top-class hotel and indulge in four days of quilting.
Carcassonne really is a fantastic sight to behold and on this tour we not only stay right in the historic heart of the medieval fortress town, we quilt there too. The patio doors of our workshop room lead to the tranquil hotel garden; a perfect location to focus on our projects. Our expert will be on hand to teach new techniques and lend her expertise, and there are Bernina machines to work on.
We'll also enjoy an excursion to Mirepoix and Lavalanet and an introductory walking tour of medieval Carcassonne. You’ll also have time some free time to wander the perfectly preserved cobbled streets here; the ideal opportunity to unwind.
MyQuiltPlace.com is brought to you entirely free as a service of the American Quilter's Society. We hope you enjoy meeting one another and sharing your experience and expertise. Enjoy!
