Inspiring Quilters, Stitch by Stitch
Good Morning Everyone,
What a beautiful place to share, grow and make new friends. I look forward to to hearing from all who visit here.
I have five grandchildren, three boys and two girls. Each child has several quilts in their own possession. Not counting the number of quilts my three children have each. At the time of my first grandson I happened upon a show, Sewing and Quilting Expo in Virgina; oh let me tell you I wanted to make one of those so badly. That was in 1999 and I have not stopped and I do not intend to. I always have hand work or my sewing machine going. I work on several projects at a time, each in a different state of completion. Kits, fabric, embellishemts and fabric galore, I have it all.
My favorite is crazy quilting and because of that I own a dozen or so antique crazy quilts. I can stare at those beauties for hours trying to get in to the mind of the creator. They facinate me.
We moved to Miami, Florida in 2003 and I started teaching workshops at Crountry Stitches in Coral Springs. This opened a whole new page in my life. I love my students be they beginner or advanced. I listen to their needs, wants and desires and work to help them creat their own piece of art. Then I purchased a long arm, APQS Millenium, well my students love me even more now. And then I added a Toyota 9100 embroidery machine and well I keep very busy.
Life is a journey, embrace the day!
