Inspiring Quilters, Stitch by Stitch
Well, I missed my Friday deadline to get a picture up of Adam's graduation quilt, "Toggle". But, here it is, in a kind of wonky looking picture. The room with my design wall on it isn't big enough to get a straight-on shot and still get all of the quilt in it, so I used Photoshop to change the angle, and, well, it didn't quite do the job. It's made with Moda's Birchbark charm packs.
The embroidery will go around the center blocks. I ran out of the brown, ended up having to piece the top and bottom rows with a 7" middle piece. Hopefully, when it's quilted it won't be noticeable.
This is a rather dreary quilt to me - I like bright colors and not such a predictable look. I think my son will like it, though, and the backing and binding fabrics are more to my liking.
Next quilt planned is a wall hanging I saw on-line of a shelf of library books using the selvage edges of fabric for the titles. I plan to make one for my BFF who is a librarian.
