Summer 2012
This has truly been a summer to remember. I have enjoyed it even though the weather has put an extra burden on those who must work outside. It has caused me to stay inside and quilt just as much as a big snow woule in winter. It has simply been too hot to go outside and do anything else.
I have finished several UFOs of my own and done several customer quilts as well. I am really enjoying my HQ Avante and my new quilting studio.
I hope everyone has had a great summer and now when winter gets here we will really be ready to get down to some serious quilt projects.

it is hot. tho not as hot today as last week. still have to be outside to maintain fr trees etc.
but...i have a desert type enviorment w low humidity..right now 90F 16% humidity. in nj and pa it would be 90F & 90% humidity. lollol so i try not to complain..i have endured worse. but by this time of year i start sending up snow prayers w my burnt offerings ..otherwise known as dinner! ....and sue, i soooo agree! nothin' better than to curl up w tea & book or sit and stitch while the falling snow outside our windows create a beauty that we can never match, nor would i want to attempt to, in our quilts and needlework projects.

I've gone into withdrawal. We were on vacation last week and although I took along two UFO's I forgot a few things and couldn't work on either one. Oh well I guess I needed to stop quillting few a while. Had a wonderful time. I finished one project today and have another to work on tonight. Happy Days are here again.

I agree, but I must say I love working in my sewing room and looking out the window to see snow falling in the winter. Total contentment.
